KÆTTERSK.
A space for electronic music: a club by night and an audio and scenography laboratory by day. Inspired by the Italian Radical ideology and design of the 1960s, the project explores flexibility, transformation, and bold materiality.
Conceived as a contemporary circus for electronic music, it is designed specifically around the needs of sound, performance, and collective experience rather than as a conventional venue.
The project occupies an existing tent-like industrial structure originally used for construction sites. Its cranes, rigging systems, and machinery are preserved and reused to create a constantly evolving dance floor. The space can be reconfigured each night: sound systems move, layouts shift, and acoustics change, allowing every event to produce a different spatial and musical atmosphere.
During the day, Kaeterks becomes a creative workspace with workshops for music production, stage design, and construction. Suspended within the main volume, a lightweight metal framework contains studios, storage, dressing rooms, offices, and bathrooms. The dance floor is built from modular scaffolding and acoustic textiles that can divide or open the space as needed. Colorful fiberglass elements—both functional and scenographic—activate the interior and support many possible configurations.

NIGHTLIFE DESIGN - 01
Created fully by @intake.studio team using archival footage.
In the 60s “disco” cultural revolutions, florentine architecture students re-defined the nightclub.
They organized experimental parties merging, music, performance arts, and expositions.
From these nights emerged radical architecture collectives;
Superstudio, Gruppo 9999, Archizoom, gruppo UFO. Together they create the foundations of “discotecture” ; a modular dancefloor using industrial materials and immersive light projections.
The nightclub has always been a political and experimental space, claiming sexual liberation, freedom of speech, and escape from the constraints of conventional society.
The world runs on algorithms— numbers chasing numbers. However our work will always put quality over quantity.
We still believe in creating unique experiences, and are looking for new collaborators moving forward.
Additionally, we’re launching @intake.studio , a natural evolution of our work.
We are forever grateful for our community and can’t wait to share with you what comes next.
Love, the Intake Team.
Motion design fully produced in-house.
