Panic Later × MRZAM, Al Imam Mohamed story- Diriyah Wall-Mapping Film
We approached the Al-Diriyah, Al Imam Mohamed story, wall-mapping projection, and animated film as a story. The goal was to make history feel close, human, and alive.
We started by listening to the place.
Diriyah’s textures, silhouettes, architectural rhythm, and cultural cues guided us. They shaped a clear story path and a reference library that kept every detail honest.
We set the direction early.
Sketches, styleframes, color rules, and an animatic locked the pacing and emotion. Each beat had a purpose and a line of dialogue the walls could carry.
We built the film scene by scene.
Environments, characters, motion, and FX came together with help from AI for faster exploration, and with human taste to keep the story grounded and respectful. This wasn’t a tool showcase. It was a narrative that belongs to Diriyah, told on the very walls that hold its memory.
On-site is where it became real.
We tailored the mapping to one of Diriyah’s heritage castles. Projection tests, alignment and keystone fixes, brightness and contrast tuned for stone, and safe-area refinements made sure the story landed cleanly across edges, surfaces, and architectural details.
The result
A heritage-first story that turns a castle into a narrator. History, told simply with modern craft and deep respect.
