Meet colour master Giulio Ridolfo.
Working closely with textile structures and yarn construction, he explores colour as an integral part of the textile itself rather than something applied to its surface.
The colour palette for Twisted Flower is Giulio Ridolfo’s interpretation of a multidimensional weaving structure found in Frans Dijkmeijer’s archive. Drawing on his extensive colour archive and botanical knowledge, it combines calm yet complex neutrals with energetic, vivid shades drawn from specific plants such as the red of Fritillaria imperialis, the blue of Ceanothus thyrsiflorus and the yellow of Gossypium. Together, these form a bouquet of textile colours.
