"Don't beg" is something my grandma always told us growing up. Especially when we asked her for bits of something she was eating

Could have been a way to keep us content, or to prevent us from being so easily taken advantage of outside. Or simply just as a way to remind ourselves that there's love at home when we go outside. Whatever the real reason was, it's stayed with me
