We are delighted to share that Frog in Hand has become a long-term tenant in a sunny, warm and inviting space operated by @unitarianmississauga - and that we are their first ever Dance Company in Residence. We are so excited to share more about this special partnership (and more about what we will be working on in the coming weeks), but for now, here are some highlights from our first rehearsal in their community hall.

This event is a Balfolk-style dance party featuring the incredible live music of Alan Mackie. Come early to learn and practice some of the dances with Andrew, Callahan and Colleen. Then practice them on the dance floor!

We recommend you wear flat, comfortable shoes & clothing you can move in. Never gone to a Balfolk party before? No worries! Balfolk dancing is a popular form of social dancing; think traditional folk dances (mazurkas, waltzes group circle dances) They are all fun and EASY for beginners to learn, you don’t need any partners or prior experience. You can pick it up as you go, and we promise we’ll show you how! Of course you can always support by watching and tapping your foot to the music if you prefer!
