Very excited to share that I finally have a digital print store for my photos! 🖼️

Thank you to those who believed in me, love my photographs, and have asked for this to happen. Your encouragement over the years means the world.

As a photographer, I’m my own worst critic. My perfectionism always sees ways to improve. It’s made me a tireless student, and undoubtedly made me better, but it can be tough to look back at my prior work.

But alas, encouraged by many of your nice comments, I’ve made it easier to purchase my photos and hang them on your walls, your desks, etc.

This is an incomplete highlight reel from many years spent exploring our beautiful world. The art is never really finished.

In Episode 3 of The Embodied Masculine, I chat with Rafat Khan (@happyrafat), founder of Tribe, a community creating spaces for deeper connection.

I first met Rafat at The Tribe in the Marina District of San Francisco. Fun fact: I was his first local customer. :)

Rafat shares his experience growing up in Bangladesh feeling not man enough, and the journey back home to himself. We talk about identity, belonging, and what it really takes to heal the “brother wound.”

We also explore how men can build honest, supportive relationships as adults, and what healthier male communities could look like in the future.

In Episode 2 of The Embodied Masculine, I sit down with Nick Johnson (@nick.johnson.poetry) a San Francisco–based poet, DJ, and photographer.

I first met Nick at The Brothership, a men’s circle he co-founded with Jeremy Falk, held at the now closed and sorely missed The Center SF.

Nick reflects on how anger can disconnect men from themselves and those around them. Through embodied practices, he points toward a more integrated, balanced masculinity.

We also explore creativity in an age of AI, the infamous Will Smith slap, and growing up with a single mother. It was a fun and wide-ranging conversation, thank you Nick!

We live in an era of unprecedented visual documentation. We all have cameras. And yet, only a small percentage of social media users create content. And a smaller amount still is amplified by algorithms which feed us.

This creates a significant distortion in what we perceive as reality. Perception is reality. Nowhere is this more true than Burning Man. A dominant visual narrative of sparkle ponies and not much else.

The Playa Portrait Project began as a way to shine a light on the unseen, especially for those who have not experienced Burning Man with their own eyes.

Many people declined to have their photos taken which is a complicating factor of documenting the underrepresented. Consent is a key aspect of BM and one I deeply value. Privacy is sacred. This too is a biased sample.

Thank you to those who gave me permission to document your beauty. It was a gift.

For 5 powerful days, a brothership of brave men convened at @headwatersoutdoor in Mt. Shasta, California.

Co-led by Nick, Jeremy, and Jesse, it was the first annual initiation of Tracking Your Wilderness men’s retreat.
