This Wednesday, we were delighted to host the launch of Volume 6 of the ‘On Words’ collection at La Becque, during an evening organized in collaboration with SIK-ISEA (@sikisea.ch).

Bringing together Swiss artist Mai-Thu Perret (@maithu), French artist Isabelle Cornaro (@isabellecornaro), Swiss artist and filmmaker Pauline Julier (@julierpauline), and French-Moroccan artist Latifa Echakhch (@latifa.echa), the conversation explored artists’ speech, writing, and different ways of documenting artistic practices.

The evening also included a presentation of the publication by Sarah Burkhalter (@sarah.b.carroll), a roundtable moderated by Julie Enckell (@julieenckellj), with contributions from Vanessa Cimorelli (@vancmll), and a welcome by Luc Meier (@luc_meier).

‘On Words’ is a series of interviews with contemporary women artists co-published by SIK-ISEA and Scheidegger & Spiess (@scheidegger_und_spiess).

Tender Mesh welcomes Andrea Carrillo (@ac_iglesias), a Mexican artist and researcher whose practice operates at the intersection of moving image, installation, performance, and prose. Through humor, desire, archival materials, and fiction, her work develops counter-narratives that destabilize the ideological and power systems underpinning Western imaginaries, blurring the boundaries between chronicle and speculative fiction.

Her work has been presented at Museo Jumex (@museojumex) and Centro de la Imagen (@cimagen) in Mexico City, Espacio Odeón in Bogota (@espacioodeonbog), and Tenerife Espacio de las Artes in Santa Cruz de Tenerife (@teatenerife), among others, and has been supported by the Magnum Foundation in New York (@magnumfoundation), FONCA, and the Patronato de Arte Contemporáneo (@pacsitac) in Mexico City.

Andrea will join the fellowship for a research residency at La Becque in Switzerland (@la_becque) before the project moves to its final phase at Espacio Odeón in Bogota (@espacioodeonbog).

Tender Mesh welcomes Ana María Millán (@ana.maria.millan), a Colombian artist whose practice operates through role-playing, reenactment, and amateur cultures to construct narrative films and video games that address the politics of gaming, magic, violence, propaganda, and the image of the monster. Working from a skeptical and often humorous place, Millán builds open-ended scripts where collaboration and its contradictions are made visible.

Her work is part of the collections of MoMA The Museum of Modern Art in New York (@themuseumofmodernart), KADIST (@kadistkadist), and Banco de la República Colombia (@bancorepublicacolombia), and is represented by Instituto de Visión in Bogotá and New York (@institutodevision).

Ana María will join the fellowship for a research residency at La Becque in Switzerland (@la_becque) before the project moves to its final phase at Espacio Odeón in Bogota (@espacioodeonbog).

Tender Mesh welcomes alfatih (@alfatiharufa), a Swiss artist whose work investigates the logic and quiet failures of everyday systems through interactive installations, video, and time-based technologies. Probing routines, behavioral patterns, and the desire for visibility, alfatih builds situations where audiences become unwitting participants in the very structures being examined.

alfatih’s practice has been presented at Kunsthaus Langenthal (@kunsthauslangenthal), Swiss Institute in New York (@swissinstitute), MASI Lugano (@masilugano), Kunsthalle Friart Fribourg (@kunsthallefriartfribourg), Centre d’Art Contemporain Geneva (@centredartcontemporaingeneve), and Haus der Elektronischen Künste in Basel (@hek_basel), among others.

alfatih will join the fellowship for a research residency at La Becque in La Tour-de-Peilz (@la_becque) before the project moves to its final phase at Espacio Odeón in Bogota (@espacioodeonbog).

(🕸️𝑻𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝑴𝒆𝒔𝒉🕸️) is hosted by three organizations whose situated practices form the web that sustains this fellowship.

Based in Bogota, Espacio Odeón (@espacioodeonbog) is a non-profit platform dedicated to fostering experimental and interdisciplinary artistic practices. Since 2011, Odeón has collaborated with artists in the co-production of site-specific projects that engage critically with contemporary cultural, political, and social contexts. Through exhibitions, curatorial projects, and communal practices including workshops, cooking sessions, study groups, and other gatherings, Odeón serves as a catalyst for collective participation and critical inquiry, centering non-hierarchical curatorial models and collaborative exercises in autonomous world-building. The platform is directed by Tatiana Rais (@tatirais).

La Becque (@la_becque) is an artist residency located on the shores of Lake Geneva in Switzerland, dedicated to fostering focused, experimental work at the intersection of nature, environment, and technology. Residents benefit from an exceptional site and infrastructure, whether their project is focused on in-depth research or on production. La Becque dedicates particular attention to projects exploring the ever more intertwined notions of nature, the environment, and technology, themes that feed into all disciplines of the arts and that artists are among those best equipped to address. (🕸️𝑻𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝑴𝒆𝒔𝒉🕸️) is supported by Vanessa Cimorelli (@vancmll), curator at La Becque.

MSD (@msd.buzon) is a curatorial duo made up of Daniela Gutiérrez-González (@dgtzgzlz) and Sebastián Mira (@computerdate.y2k), whose practice explores post-digital culture and the evolving definitions of shared temporality, hapticality, and screen-based experience. Through a hybrid, embodied, and affective curatorial approach, their work generates autonomous spaces of self-governance and (ex)intimacy, interrogating how bodies and technologies co-produce new forms of relationality in contemporary digital landscapes.

(🕸️*𝑻𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝑴𝒆𝒔𝒉*🕸️) is a binational fellowship connecting artists and institutions from Colombia, México, and Switzerland to explore embodied knowledge at the intersection of art and digital technologies. Reimagining the skin not as a boundary but as a threshold, a porous site where perception, intimacy, and contact are constantly negotiated, the project unfolds across three phases of research, production, and public activation, weaving a translocal network/web of complicities that cultivates digital affectivity, sustainable knowledge exchange, and radical forms of collaboration.
The program brings together @msd.buzon ,a curatorial duo investigating post-digital culture and the presentiality of bodies within screen-based experiences; @la_becque, an artist residency that protects process and fosters experimental, embodied thinking; and @espacioodeonbog, a non-profit platform fostering experimental, site-specific artistic practices that engage critically with contemporary social and political contexts.

The participating artists are @ana.maria.millan, who addresses the politics of gaming in relation to digital cultures, magic, violence, and the notion of monstrosity; @ac_iglesias, who explores the entanglements of image, power, and fiction and their effects on how reality is socially and aesthetically produced; and @alfatiharufa, whose work with time-based technologies unfolds as immersive and gamified installations that investigate the logic and the failures of systems and play.

(*𝑻𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝑴𝒆𝒔𝒉*) treats contemporary infrastructures as relational media that structure attention, intimacy, and circulation by approaching the digital as an immaterial workspace that reconfigures how art and curating are imagined and practiced.

Supported and sponsored by @prohelvetia through the Synergies grant program.

Today, we introduce Alice Bucknell (@alicebucknell), who is in residence at La Becque through July as part of our Principal Residency Program.

Alice Bucknell is a North American artist and writer based in Los Angeles whose work uses game engines and speculative fiction to explore video games as tools for engaging with complex systems, relationships, and knowledge structures. Their practice addresses the limits of scientific thinking, the imaginative potential of play, and ecological perspectives challenging binaries such as human versus environment. Bucknell is the founder of New Mystics (@newmystics.xyz), a platform that investigates the intersections of magic and technology and organized ‘New Worlds’ at Somerset House Studios (@somersethousestudios).

Their work has been presented internationally at venues including Copenhagen Contemporary (@copenhagen_contemporary), the Venice Architecture Biennale (@labiennale), and the Centre Pompidou in Paris (@centrepompidou). Their writing appears regularly in ArtReview (@artreview_magazine), frieze (@friezeofficial), and e-flux architecture (e_flux). They currently teach at SCI-Arc in Los Angeles (@sciarc).

On May 20, we look forward to welcoming Swiss artist Mai-Thu Perret (@maithu), French artist Isabelle Cornaro (@isabellecornaro), Swiss artist and filmmaker Pauline Julier (@julierpauline), and French-Moroccan artist Latifa Echakhch (@latifa.echa), to La Becque for an event organized in collaboration with SIK-ISEA (@sikisea.ch) around the launch of Volume 6 of the ‘On Words’ collection.

Initiated from a shared interest in writing and storytelling, ‘On Words’ is a series of interviews with contemporary women artists co-published by SIK-ISEA and Scheidegger & Spiess (@scheidegger_und_spiess). On the occasion of this new volume, the four artists will gather for a conversation on artists’ speech and the ways of documenting it – a topic that also resonates with the practices and research currently unfolding at La Becque.

The evening will include a welcome by Luc Meier (Director of La Becque, @luc_meier), a presentation of the publication by Sarah Burkhalter (Head of the French-speaking office of SIK-ISEA, @sarah.b.carroll), and a roundtable discussion with Mai-Thu Perret, Isabelle Cornaro, Pauline Julier and Latifa Echakhch, moderated by Julie Enckell (art historian and co-director of the ‘On Words’ collection, @julieenckellj), with contributions from Vanessa Cimorelli (curator at La Becque, @vancmll), followed by an apéritif.

Free admission upon registration via isea@sik-isea.ch.

Congrats to former resident Jenna Sutela (@jennasutela) for her installation ‘Aeolian Suite’, presented at the Pavilion of Finland during the 61st Biennale di Venezia (@labiennale).

Commissioned by Frame Contemporary Art Finland (@frame_finland) and curated by Stefanie Hessler (@steffihessler), Director of Swiss Institute in New York (@swissinstitute) and member of the jury of La Becque’s Principal Residency Program, ‘Aeolian Suite’ transforms the Pavilion of Finland into an immersive soundscape shaped by the elemental forces of the wind.

The exhibition features five sonic-kinetic sculptures arranged in a circle, each embodying a different Venetian wind. Combining sound, movement, scenography, and environmental research, the installation explores the cultural, emotional, and ecological dimensions of wind, while reflecting on unpredictability, climate instability, and the limits of control.

The presentation coincides with the Pavilion of Finland’s 70th anniversary in 2026 and will be accompanied by a publication edited by Stefanie Hessler, featuring newly commissioned texts by Hessler, Jenna Sutela, and former residents Elvia Wilk (@elviaagain) and Gary Zhexi Zhang (@garyzhexizhang), and a vinyl record, co-published by Mousse Publishing (@moussemagazine), PAN (@pan__hq), and Frame (@framemagazine).

‘Aeolian Suite’ is on view at the 61st Biennale di Venezia from May 9 to November 22, 2026.

Today, discover the practice of UAE-based Iranian artist Mahshid Rafiei (@mahshidrafiei), who will be in residence at La Becque through July as part of our partnership with Pro Helvetia (@prohelvetia).

Mahshid Rafiei works across sculpture, installation, and drawing. Her practice examines the processes through which material, language, and image become so inextricably intertwined that they ossify projections of prejudiced imaginaries. Rafiei’s work often involves transforming everyday objects and their constituent materials into compositions that inhabit the interstitial space between perception, recognition, and projection.

Mahshid Rafiei’s residency is supported by the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia and its Cairo office (@prohelvetia_cairo).

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
