Transparency is core to what Latin Gold Records is about — so here’s how I price every record I sell.
Every record gets hand-cleaned, graded on the Goldmine standard, play-tested, and researched against real sold comps on Discogs. Not asking prices. Sold prices. Then priced to be as accessible as possible.
I handpick, clean, grade, test, and photograph every record personally — so you know exactly what you’re getting. That’s the promise.
Tons of records available now at latingoldrecords.com. Link in bio.
Sign up for the newsletter to get 10% off your first order + the Latin Gold Vinyl 101 Guide.
Additionally, 10% of each purchase will be donated to CHIRLA - the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights in Los Angeles to achieve a just society fully inclusive of immigrants.
Happy digging.

Ray Barretto and Celia Cruz collaborated on two albums together, but which one is better — Tremendo Trio! or Ritmo en el Corazón? I brought in @emspringer_ — a New York-based music writer and WBGO contributor currently studying in London, who has spent years deep in Barretto’s catalog — to settle it.
We talked about the salsa dura vs. salsa romántica moment these records were born out of, made our cases, and why any opportunity to listen to these albums is the real win. Honestly, we could have talked for hours — there’s a lot on the cutting room floor. Thank you for chatting, Emily! Really grateful for your time, knowledge, and passion.
Friends, which album do you like more? Drop your pick in the comments.

22 songs, 1 playlist, all from records currently for sale on LatinGoldRecords.com.
Arranged by BPM so it takes you on a journey this weekend through every country these players came from — Puerto Rico, Cuba, Colombia, Venezuela, Spain, Spanish Harlem.
It also begins and ends with Ray Barretto, which is full circle because next week I’ll be diving deeper into one of the greatest conga bandleaders of all time.
More to come, but for now, get acquainted.

This past weekend, I had the honor of being the first official vinyl record seller at The Soraya. I’m still processing it — especially because something more than just selling records happened.
As you’ve probably seen from my posts the past few weeks, I partnered with The Soraya to help promote Chavela y Sus Mujeres, a tribute show to music icon Chavela Vargas, and host a record pop-up in the lobby for Record Store Day.
The show itself was stunning. Ofelia Medina was an extraordinary avatar for Chavela all night. The voices of Ely Guerra, Eugenia León, and La Marisoul were each incredible on their own — but when the three of them harmonized, the room just stopped breathing. Mariachi Gama Mil and Los Macarinos provided the perfect soundscape throughout.
The performance was so special, and you could feel the inspired energy at my record pop-up, where something bigger than just record buying was happening. People stopped and started remembering. Tracing their histories back through the music.
The highlight of the whole weekend was meeting so many Chavela fans — including the one very lucky person who bought my personal rare copy of Chavela’s debut album on vinyl. She told me Chavela is her hero, her icon. It couldn’t have gone to a better home. And getting to finally meet our ticket giveaway winner @mariabluesmusic in person — that was special too.
To the Soraya team and @soundingpointla — thank you for having me. Hoping this is the first of many collaborations. To Ely Guerra, Eugenia León, La Marisoul, Ofelia Medina, Mariachi Gama Mil, and Los Macarinos — thank you for the reminder of what music can do to a room.
And lastly, thank you to my mom.
My mom came out Saturday night and helped me work the table. At some point she told me I was following in her footsteps — she used to represent Latin Gold (the original jewelry store this whole thing is named after) at fairs and conferences. The place where she and my dad met.
Now here we are, doing it together, in a different form.

My mom came out Saturday night and helped me work the table. At some point she told me I was following in her footsteps — she used to represent Latin Gold (the original jewelry store this whole thing is named after) at fairs and conferences. The place where she and my dad met.
Now here we are, doing it together, in a different form.

On this day, April 17th, Chavela Vargas would have turned 107 years old. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate her than the “Chavela y sus Mujeres” tribute concert happening at The Soraya this weekend. A huge congratulations to @mariabluesmusic who is the winner of the ticket giveaway!!!
If you still want to check out the concert, visit thesoraya.org and use the promo code HECHO20 for a 20% discount on tickets.
I’ll be popping up at The Soraya all weekend with a ln incredible selection of Latin vinyl for sale and so much more. If you come to the show, stop by and say hi! If you can’t make it to the show, I’m having a huge online sale on LatinGoldRecords.com. 10-20% off everything!!!
See you soon and Happy Record Store Day to those who celebrate.

Record Store Day is this Saturday so I’ll be celebrating with my first ever sitewide sale!!! 🪩❤️🔥💃🏽
10–20% off everything on latingoldrecords.com.
RSD is one of my favorite days of the year. Not because of the limited pressings (though those are fun - sometimes) — but because it’s a reminder that the local record store is one of the last true third places we have. A place you go with no agenda. Where you flip through crates next to a stranger and end up talking for an hour.
Go support one this weekend.
If you got the Latin Gold Vinyl 101 Guide when you subscribed to the newsletter, you’ve already got a deep list of stores to check out— but here are some LA spots worth your Saturday (or at least a follow on Instagram):
@recordsafari_la @on.maritime @the_artform_studio @delaplayamusic @amoebahollywood @permanentrecordsroadhouse @atomicrecordsla @freakbeatrecords @sickcityrecords @highfidelityla @cosmicvinyl @factoryrecordsdavenoise @twelveslb @sibyllineshop @communerecords @str33trecords @sanfordsvintage

And that’s not all — I’ll be popping up at The Soraya this weekend with an all-Latin vinyl selection, and I’m giving away a pair of tickets to Chavela y Sus Mujeres.
Happy digging. 🖤💛

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
