ok ok, last post like this... BUT I just found out that our film The Rise of the Red Hot Chili Peppers: Our Brother, Hillel was the 9th most viewed Netflix film IN THE WORLD last week (190 countries!). so many amazing people offered their creative hearts and minds to help make this film, but most of the time it was me, @mdag and @johntarq sitting in a little office a few blocks from the rocky statue trying to make something beautiful. stories are powerful and we are overwhelmed by the global response to this one. thank you for the love and interest.

Available worldwide tomorrow, March 20th, on Netflix, is the documentary I produced, shining a light on the incredible story of…The Rise of the Red Hot Chili Peppers: Our Brother, Hillel.

So excited to let everyone know that the film I produced, The Rise of the Red Hot Chili Peppers: Our Brother, Hillel, will debut worldwide on @netflix on March 20th!!

It will also make its world premiere at the SXSW Film Festival this Friday!

It has been an incredible ride making this movie, which is a beautiful story of a group of misfits, the chaos of youth, the underground in LA in the 80s, and most importantly the incredible bonds of friendship made when we are young.

Couldn’t be more excited to announce that our documentary feature, THE RISE OF THE RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS: OUR BROTHER HILLEL, is officially set to make its world premiere at the 2026 SXSW Film Festival! The film will then have its global release on Netflix, March 20th.

It’s been an immense pleasure helping craft the creative vision of director, @benfeldmandirector, and producer, @mdag. Beautiful animation by @allagesproductions. This project has left us with a deep, deep love for the magic of Hillel Slovak. His spirit is genuinely infectious. His talent was humbling. We strive to honor and celebrate his legacy.

Eternal thanks to the Slovak family and @chilipeppers for the incredible interviews given, along with @alainjohannes, @jackironsdrummer, @yolikegeorge, @michaelbeinhorn, and many others. Their memories of Hillel brought this film to life. Profoundly grateful to be partnering with @netflix to bring this story to a global audience.
