Today is Betty’s 80th birthday! Once again, we’re the same age. Betty lets me know continually, “You don’t have to tell everyone I’m the same age as you.” We have been in love since we were both 15 years old. It has been an indescribable journey, & there’s no way that, having come out of a very damaging childhood, I could have made it without Betty. She is a beautiful demonstration of God’s amazing grace & unconditional love. Thank you, God, for giving me the most wonderful wife a man could possibly have. Happy Birthday, Betty, and let’s enjoy many more!

One of our neighbors and friends, Marcus Lamb, was ushered into the presence of the Lord Jesus early this morning. I remember like yesterday the day Marcus Lamb came to Dallas with his talented, beautiful wife, Joni, to share his vision. In that meeting with about 200 pastors, I said, “Marcus, I want to reach people with our television program early in the morning and before they go to bed – twice a day. I want to help you build your television network.”

By partnering with DayStar, we have shared the love of God expressed through the gift of His Son, Jesus, who died on the cross that we might find life now and forever more—the very life eternal that Marcus Lamb is now spending in the presence of God, along with many of our friends and our own precious daughter, Robin. I know Joni and the family’s hearts are heavy. I prayed for them and with them during this horrible battle. It appeared the victory was won a few days ago. Quite frankly, we were all stunned to hear the news. I thank God for Marcus, Joni, and Daystar. I’m glad we are part of their family. We share the same passion Marcus had to share Jesus with people all over the world.

I want to say thanks to all of the partners at Daystar. You have done well. Keep up the wonderful work. Our prayers are with Joni and the children, and I’m thankful to say that I am close to the children—Jonathan, Rachel, and Rebecca. May God comfort each of them, and the entire DayStar family.

I shared at Promise Keepers in AT&T Stadium on Saturday that although the disciples did not understand the Kingdom here and now, at hand and in us, they left the Upper Room filled to overflowing with Kingdom power, life and purpose. They couldn’t explain it, but it took over and the entire book of Acts is about Kingdom impact, and how it touched and affected everything on earth that matters to God. When we lose our life to find it in the fullness, power and fruitfulness of the Holy Spirit, God’s will is DONE ON EARTH! The only way we really find the abundant life He offers is to find it there – in His kingdom purpose. We can fulfill our Father’s dreams. Wow!
