Today we celebrate the birthday of Francisco Muñoz (Tlaxcala, Mexico, 1986). Born in Tlaxcala, a region deeply connected to the narratives of the Conquest, he explores in his work visual elements of pre-Columbian culture and the historical imaginary surrounding Mexico’s colonial past.

Through a multidisciplinary practice that integrates ceramics, painting, collage, textiles, drawing, and installation, Muñoz approaches materials, objects, and their symbols as bearers of historical tension. His work intertwines artisanal traditions and cultural references, translating them into a contemporary visual language.

We send him our warmest wishes on this very special day. ✨

Cartography of Abstraction

Presented as part of the 50th anniversary of Colección FEMSA, Constelaciones y derivas: arte de América Latina desde la Colección FEMSA at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Monterrey proposes a reading of Latin American art beyond linear narratives and fixed geographies.

Organized around five thematic axes, the exhibition establishes connections between works, periods, and artistic positions, approaching the collection through constellations rather than chronology.

Bringing together artists such as Carlos Cruz-Diez, Gego, Jesús Rafael Soto, Julio Le Parc, Magdalena Fernández and Magali Lara, among others, the exhibition moves through questions surrounding territory, abstraction, geometry, colonial structures, and the relationship between bodies and landscape, reflecting the diversity of approaches that shape modern and contemporary Latin American art.

Body, play, and resonance

Mercedes Azpilicueta presents CaccHho CucchhA, an installation developed with de Appel and currently on view at Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein. Conceived for both children and adults, the installation brings together textile structures, wearable elements, and sound, activating the body through movement and interaction. Rather than a fixed form, the installation unfolds through participation, where gesture, play, and collective exploration become the work itself. Within this shifting environment, the boundaries between viewer and artwork dissolve, offering an open-ended sensory experience in constant transformation.

Cosmotechnics: Ding Yi as a Planetary Code is now on view at Fondazione Querini Stampalia, presented during the 61st Venice Biennale.

For more than three decades, Ding Yi has developed one of the most consistent and recognizable visual languages in contemporary abstraction. Through the continuous evolution of his Appearance of Crosses series, the cross becomes less an image than a method: a structure through which rhythm, perception, and pictorial space are built.

Set within the Area Scarpa, the exhibition brings Ding Yi’s work into close relation with the architectural precision and spatial sensibility of Carlo Scarpa. New and historical paintings are presented alongside stone steles, while a constellation of twelve black-and-white works introduces a distilled, monochrome register within the installation.

Rather than approaching painting as representation, Ding Yi’s practice unfolds as a system of repetition, variation, and accumulation. In this context, Yuk Hui’s notion of “cosmotechnics” opens a broader reflection on how form, technique, and perception can connect individual gesture to larger spatial and temporal orders.

Curated by Alfredo Cramerotti and Auronda Scalera. Presented by Fondazione Querini Stampalia with the support of Lisson and ShanghART.

A Collective Breath

Jeppe Hein presents Reflections on Breathing at Vanhaerents Art Collection Project Space, an environment shaped by breathing, movement, and awareness.

Breathe With Me, a participatory installation, invites visitors to translate each exhale into a blue line, individual gestures gradually forming a collective drawing.

The exhibition brings together Hein’s Modified Social Benches and Rotating Mirrors, sculptures that reshape how we move, sit, interact, and perceive space. Together, the works create a setting that invites participation and attentiveness, encouraging a heightened awareness of one’s presence within a shared environment.

Resonances of a Living Abstraction

Elias Crespin positions himself within the Venezuelan abstract and kinetic tradition, in dialogue with figures such as Gego, Jesús Rafael Soto, Carlos Cruz-Diez, and Alejandro Otero.
Working with motors and custom programming, Crespin activates suspended geometric structures whose movement unfolds over time. These electrokinetic sculptures operate through sequences governed by mathematical systems.
His work continues a tradition in which abstraction is linked to movement, space, and perception.

Rituals of becoming

Hilma’s Ghost takes part in A Queer Arcana: Art, Magic, and Spirit at Palm Springs Art Museum, a group exhibition that brings together artists exploring how magic, spirituality, and esoteric knowledge have shaped queer art and culture.
Drawing on the notion of arcana as hidden and mystical knowledge, the exhibition considers how spiritual practices become sources of connection, transformation, and community.
Within this context, Hilma’s Ghost engages ritual, symbols, and collective practices, approaching magic as a way to imagine worlds beyond repressive systems and to reclaim sexuality as a source of power.

Reflection of Shadow

Built through a slow, laborious process, these paintings develop through the accumulation of several hundred thin layers of pigment. Working with glazing, Wang Yi produces blurred interstitial zones of color and soft transitions across the surface.

Starting from a single pixel of color, depth appears gradually as surface effects emerge over time.

On view until May 23 at RGR.

Reflection of Shadow

Woven Identities

Mercedes Azpilicueta is currently on view in La vie climatique. Histoires sensibles des collections privées at [mac] Musée d’art contemporain de Marseille, presented as part of the 8th De leur temps Triennial, organized by ADIAF.

Her Jacquard tapestry “The Lieutenant-Nun Is Passing: An Autobiography of Katalina, Antonio, Alonso and More” 2021, originally commissioned by Gasworks, London, is presented within this context.
The work draws on the figure of Katalina de Erauso, developing narratives of transformation and fluid identity. The exhibition brings together works acquired over the past three years and approaches the collection as a living ecosystem, questioning the “ideal climate” of museums in relation to contemporary ecological, political, and social conditions.

On view until September 20, 2026.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
