@tpainswrld and @gratefulfarmz of @growingpainsmi are known for not only growing some of the best flower in Michigan, but also the country. And one of the things they credit that to is feeding all the way to the end, avoiding any kind of flush altogether. Another thing we learned in the episode is that they will run Fade up to three weeks before chop.

@tpainswrld from @growingpainsmi on what “Craft” actually means in the industry

The word “Craft” gets thrown around so much and from what I’ve gathered everyone has a different definition. I say it a lot myself and really what I mean when I say it is product from people who care. They care enough to source great genetics, create a solid environment, and take all the necessary steps to put out a high quality, clean product to the end consumer, without any fuckery.

A lot of people say “Craft” is only the elite of the elite. But to me I think there is more nuance to it. Just because it isn’t smoking at the highest level in a competition like PSL, doesn’t mean it’s not a craft product. It just means it isn’t hitting at that exotic level, which is ultimately ok. Most consumers are just looking to smoke good flower at a solid price.

Just my opinion. Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts. How would you define “Craft” and is that the highest level of quality?

The Forums are a part of Cannabis History that not many consumers understand. Most consumers forget that on the other side of their smoke, someone had to grow that product. And someone had to still do it long before legalization. Which created an entire underground world of cannabis cultivators trying to figure out how to do it so they could supply the demand. But getting access to information on growing cannabis was extremely difficult. At least getting the right information was. But pioneers in the space like @jungleboys @capulator and so many others really put it all out there on niche cannabis cultivation forums. Which put on the next generation of growers like @tpainswrld and so many others.
