Part 2….

Now super fast forward to today, I find myself into 4 hours of editing lmao cause I’m not techy but also thinking about where to go next with my journey. I am now not only a collector, I am also a retailer and most importantly I made it to becoming a CGC FACILITATOR. I say that with caps because it was and is truly one of my biggest accomplishments.

Biggest Accomplishments??? Okay no not in totality but from a stand point of being brand new to something and rising to where I am without taking any shortcuts, treating everyone with respect, just doing it right 100% of the time, now that’s big. The only thing a man has in his life that matters is his word and the comic hobby is one of the few things where I can hold my head high and say “my word has been and will always be bond.”

I want to thank everyone, I mean it!! From the creators in which I have so much admiration for but more importantly the comic fans, all of you including my favorite cos players. Without you guys there is no comic hobby, one of my biggest joys is geeking out over somebody else’s collection, or geeking out over the awesome cos players that bring back the nostalgia with old characters and the joy of new characters. All of you push me to wanting to grow more in the hobby.

Thank you all for one if not the best years of my life, and what’s crazy is that I know there will be more years to come because the hobby is going to be booming baby, and I have my own Batman now omg thank you @ssnyder1835 thank you so much because as I said in part one I never really gravitated or knew about DC. Now I can’t get enough of it, but more importantly thank you to all the creators again for the joy you to bring to all the fans lives whether it be the art, story or both (Hopefully both) and stay tuned for 2026 because like I said it’s going to be even better than 2025, I know it!

And to my Wife, baby I know you don’t like pictures but behind the camera there you are enjoying my joy and for that I say I love you and I am appreciative of you. What do we say “what’s understood don’t need to be said.” I love you 🙏🏾

Part 1

2025 in a nutshell was freaking amazing! You guys I got into the hobby during Covid, I was brand new to collecting comics but as a kid I always wanted to. I remember watching my friends Steve, Jason, Walbert and Jeremiah collect all the Marvel Comics and Marvel Cards, I don’t recall them ever having DC lol. Boy have times changed 🤣 I grew up watching X-Men like most of us 40 plus year olds, so I knew of Marvel characters and DC characters through the cinemas.

Fast forward to Covid, I’m bored doing everything under the sun I never did before like stocks, digital collecting and crypto. I found a fond admiration of comics through digital collecting, It then pushed me to the physical because the dang app I was using kept glitching and it was hard to read at the time within the app without getting dizzy lol.So I said fudge it and went into physical and boy did it change my life.

You see I knew of the characters but I didn’t know about them like I know about them now and that’s all through reading. All I can say is that when you read comics you do build a relationship with not just the cover but the story and the inside panels but all in all the book. The comic hobby is the only hobby I know where you can meet your favorite writer and artist, shake hands with them, give them a hug or even just shoot the shit with them like you’ve known each other for years. But in fact it’s true because within engulfing yourself in the book you do your research on the artist, the writer and it’s as if you know them so by the time you meet them you have talking points and you build on that.

You see that’s a part of the hobby I think that separates everyone, the ones who read and the ones that don’t. In order to know if you’re gonna like I book use the 1 book rule if by the 1st book you feel there’s no build up, nothing that grabs you then the book isn’t for you and you move to the next, there’s just way to many comics out there and new IP’s coming every single day for me to say I read every book though. But huge shout out to content creators and fellow readers because of you I can say if I miss something or don’t know a book, you guys and gals I can depend on.
