Fishbone, celebrating the 40th anniversary of In Your Face, played the album in its entirety.The lineup changes in recent years, notably the return of Dowd and departure of bassist Norwood Fisher, saw some new faces on stage.Any worry about weaknesses in the band’s sound disappeared immediately.James Jones picked up for Fisher and notched in perfectly with drummer Hassan Hurd.Hurd is among the 2024 additions of multi-instrumentalist JS Williams and the return of guitarist Tracey Singleton.It might be sacrilege to say, but this might be the tightest, most focused, and most fun lineup in decades.
