What began as a belief in creative talent has grown into decades of representation, collaboration, and community — and 25 years of commitment to strengthening an industry that continues to evolve.

As a women-owned and led company, launching this milestone on International Women’s Day is intentional. We’re proud to champion the women who lead our team and the many women we represent and support — behind the camera, on set, and throughout the creative ecosystem.

Throughout Women’s History Month, we’ll be reflecting on our journey and celebrating the community that has shaped it.

This milestone isn’t a finish line — it’s a continuation.

Welcome to the A-team @akmakeup_styling!!

We are excited to announce our newest addition to the styling roster Anne Kohlhagen. Anne is a New York based prop and texture stylist whose work blends beauty, art, and sculpture. Her compositions transform makeup into tactile, expressive forms, drawing early inspiration from the painterly product visuals of brands like NARS and Laura Mercier.

With a BFA in Graphic Design, years spent painting in San Francisco, and a 17-year career as a makeup artist in New York, Anne brings a deep understanding of color, texture, and material to everything she creates. She approaches the tabletop set as an open canvas, guided by experimentation and intuition.

Alongside her styling work, she creates realistic custom botanical models through her studio, Welk Studios, bringing a distinctive, hands-on approach to building imagery from the ground up.

Defined by a clean, graphic, and painterly aesthetic, Anne’s work stands out for its ability to push products beyond their expected use. Whether crafting sculptural botanicals through Welk Studios or collaborating on set, her practice is rooted in curiosity, adaptability, and a love of making.

Welcome to the A-team @ninakeim!

It’s our pleasure to announce the newest addition to our roster, prop stylist Nina Keim. Based in Los Angeles, Nina builds thoughtful, texture-rich worlds around the objects she works with. With a background in illustration and graphic design, she brings a strong visual foundation to her process. Drawn to the small details that shape a story, she works hands-on and intuitively, layering materials, surfaces, and found elements to create images that feel both intentional and lived in.

Her inspiration comes from everyday life: what people wear, textures in nature, and objects with a sense of history. Film, interiors, and vintage print ads from the ’80s and ’90s also inform her eye, giving her work a subtle sense of nostalgia and depth.

On set, Nina is known for her calm, solution-oriented presence. She values flexibility and collaboration, adapting quickly while staying grounded and positive, no matter how fast-paced things become. For her, each project is a chance to build something new, keeping the process fresh and continually engaging.
