I was hired as Production Designer for a Wellstar project, the client sent the actual Set, look and vibe they wanted. I brought their vision to life with my amazing team! In just 3 days, we built walls, painted, upholstered, installed LED lights, sourced props, and more—full Art Department skills in action! 🛠️

From scouting the venue via FaceTime with the Director to nailing brand colors and final set touches, your girl made it happen. The NYC crew flew in, we shot all day, and the client was thrilled!

At wrap the client team clapped and gave me a standing ovation, I was floored….true story 🤩🙌

Fyi, I thought the Cardiologist,Dr. Hackler @theblackdoctor was an actor or stand in, he looks sooooo young 😂 he nailed it!

I Love the challenge of creating different worlds—more projects coming soon (if I can get through editing… lol 😩).

The film industry is facing a serious slowdown, and it’s hitting creatives hard! With streaming platforms changing how content is made, traditional production schedules are being slashed, leaving thousands trying to figure out their work life. From directors to crew members, the struggle is real! Budget cuts, global competition, and the aftermath of the writers and actors strikes made things even tougher. Many of my close production friends in LA, NYC, and Atlanta are feeling the impact—some are quitting, changing careers and others are fighting to stay afloat.

It’s not just individuals—local economies are taking a hit too. Here in Atlanta, a major film / tv hub, fewer productions mean fewer jobs for cast, crew, and local vendors.

We’re all being forced to pivot and tap into our creativity, exploring freelance gigs and also many conversations are being had about film crew creating our own content with no upfront pay but “sweat equity”…being paid with equity, financial interest in the project. The problem is folks have bills to pay and the first rolls around fast these days!!

So yes, these 🍋 and make lemonade. Take this time to pivot and figure out how your talents can translate into other areas / industries. Not designing on set I’ve had to shift my momentum to other spaces.

The struggle is real, hang in there my production family…..I truly miss running into many of y’all on Set. Love Ya…..Chow
