Our Poet-Tree series continues today!! 🌸🌼🍃 The metaphors for our poetry prompts are centered around the valuable lessons we learn from nature when the trees begin to bud and break into blossom again. Youth ages 12 to 24, join us from 4pm to 6pm at our agency location (1310 W 10th Ave, one block from the 10th and Osage light rail station)! We’ll provide the poetry and art prompts to transform our current 3D Poet-Tree art piece. No registration required, just show up. All art prompts, materials, and snacks will be provided, so just bring yourself (and a friend or two)!

It's time for our May Virtual Third Thursday workshop (5pm via Zoom) and Instagram Live performance (6pm via Instagram)!

Youth ages 12 to 24 are invited to join us for creative writing prompts in a censorship-free, judgement-free zone. Bring paper and pen to our FREE online workshop every third Thursday of the month. After the workshop, join us on Instagram Live to perform your poetry and earn some cash. All youth performers are PAID!!

Community members are invited to join us on Instagram Live at 6pm for a public performance featuring AfA youth poets. Hope to see you there!

Calling all YOUTH! It's time for the First Friday Creative Empowerment Workshop at Art from Ashes. 🖊📓🎤

The workshop is today at 5pm for youth 12 to 24 at Art from Ashes (1310 W 10th Ave). We'll provide the pizza and prompts and you get paid (to perform poems written during the workshop)!
