Grad Film: Miniature Set for ‘Apple Gatherers’ 🍎

Approximately a weeks build of a very cool set for @danielle_rhoda
Designed by Terezia Torousova

Constructed the main structure with removable mezzanine for access. I also designed an apple inspired ‘chandelier’; took inspiration from apple peels.
Also some fun concrete texturing for the floor.

Fountain by @dominique_freelance
Chair and table by @heybeccahorne
Trees and cider mills by @ge_ellis_

Very fun collaborative build with the model makers! @nftsmodelmaking

Grad films: Puppet Heads for ‘Tethered’

A great make I got to do for @cinozolfanelli grad film!

Roughly 2 and a half weeks of work, very glad I got to see it through from Sculpting to fibreglassing.Painting and finished fabrication done by the rest of the fantastic model makers @nftsmodelmaking
The puppet heads needed to have movable eyes, replacement mouths and removable scalps/wigs caps for access needs.

Replacement mouths were the biggest challenge, trying to make them look as seamless as possible. Starting off with full head sculpts, moulded and casted, then cutting out the mouth section as cleanly and evenly as possible. Then moulding the mouthless heads with keys for the final fibre glass heads. Replacements mouths were made by casting just the mouth sections of the full head moulds and very slowly fitting and filling them to the final puppet heads… did that make sense..? Probably not.

THIS WAS FUN!

Grad Films! Some hand embroidered plates made work for @fawnthefilm

Fun little props I got to make for ‘Fawn’, as a nice challenge to keep the lines clean and crisp for camera.

One full plate with crack lines, one broken plate in pieces, and one other plate for set dressing.

(First and last slide are shots from the film!)

Loved this make!

Puppet head sculpts for @cinozolfanelli

Monster clays sculpt done by Alessandro, plasticine sculpts by me! I had the fun challenge of matching his desired style.

Part 2: Alien Hyper-Sleep Chamber - Central Control Hub

Used some found objects from around the workshop to make some gadgets for the computer, tried to match the style of the film.
Made some buttons and faders and played with the layout. Primed and painted, then started the final assembly. Added a small LED to light up the screen and that was it!

Very proud of this little build!

Part 1: Alien Hyper-Sleep Chamber - Central Control Hub

My personal little challenge on this huge build. Had a lot of fun re-designing this to suit our project’s specifications.

Started off with a digital Rhino model to get an idea of layout and proportions, then moved on the a CAD drawing to get accurate measurements and build plans. Simple paper test to check proportions the moved on the fleshing out the real thing with Plasti-card.

Instagram Stories geheim ansehen
