as a kid, i was always fascinated by the way my dad transformed the moment he put on a suit and tie. it was almost as if he dressed himself into an entirely different character. what mesmerized me was the idea that clothing could communicate power without a single word being spoken. it was then when i found beauty in structure, in sharp lines, in the elegance of masculinity. yet i never experienced masculinity and femininity as contradictions. @chessbored_

what an incredible past three weeks in japan, alternating between tokyo and kyoto. getting stimulated by how the japanese carry and dress themselves, the meticulousness and attentiveness, the kindness and warmth, i am grateful to have crossed, radiate. needless to mention the delicious food and various kinds of teas… (and im not talking about matcha!) - this trip truly broadened my understanding of life itself: relationships, love, sex, culture, art, boundaries and believes.
it made absolutely sense that rules are meant to be broken, that life is a contradiction within itself, and also that the perfect is inevitably imperfect at all times.
seeing it as the circle, as the repetitions that become ritualistic habits.
a lotus flower unfolding itself right in front of my eyes. what you nurture, eventually grows!
