@zacposen takes us inside the making of the #GapStudio look for @kendalljenner. From draping and molding to hand dyeing each layer, every detail is shaped on the body in motion.

Inspired by the Winged Victory of Samothrace, @zacposen’s design for @kendalljenner at this year’s Met Gala reimagines the @Gap white tee.
 
“We started with a white Gap T-shirt, manipulating it, pulling and draping to echo the movement you see in carved parian marble,” says Zac. The design comes to life in liquid jersey draped over a custom molded form, hand dyed in tea.
 
The final look pays homage to the iconic reference while transforming it into something entirely contemporary.

For this year’s theme, “Fashion is Art,” the look reimagines the @Gap Icon jacket in cavalry twill, rendered in a bold blue. The design pays homage to Yves Klein’s IKB74 (1958), held in the permanent collection of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
 
Worn open, the silhouette places the body at the center—where tailoring, color, and attitude push classic codes into new territory.
