Here is my Gray Matter idea for a cover now with color. I’m not saying this isn’t going to be the cover, but the idea is to build interest for this project and luckily everyone I am working with for this feels the same way! So if you don’t know: Gray Matter were a Washington D.C. band who came of age during the early to mid eighties and who had a handful of brilliant records. I have been hired to draw this massive comic book history of the band written by band bassist/comic book guy Steve Niles. I put the band up there with the likes of Marginal Man, Rites Of Spring, Beefeater and Scream, all great bands. I’m leaving plenty out. Washington DC had a great music scene.
