We met Leslie in 2015 when she volunteered for the @utahhsmtb league as a merch coordinator. And for years she has been an impactful ambassador and advocate for Hyperthreads as well mountain biking in the State.

We’re more than grateful for the opportunity to continue working with @velolove_youth_mtb and @veloloveelite. They do such a good job to help kids fall in love with cycling and develop the skills to excel.

Attention Coaches - if you want to make an impact with your parents - do something special for Mother’s Day next year. For less than the cost of a dozen roses you each player could have a custom jersey with their moms name on the back - and you never know - might hit their first over the fence home run like our homie Tustin.

Big team?
Complicated order?
Hundreds of names, sizes, and moving pieces?
That’s our favorite kind of project. 😎
From design to delivery, we help teams, events, and organizations take the chaos out of custom apparel so they can focus on what actually matters.
Huge shoutout to Kevin Thompson and the crew at USAOCR for trusting us with their gear. Go give them a follow at @usaocr 💪

“There and back again,” a suffer story of 612 miles in 24 hours. 👇

First a MASSIVE thanks to my supporters. Both those who followed along and my direct support on course. My wife has showed me incredible love two valentines in a row. ❤️❤️

Now a couple facts: 612 official miles  (985km) for 25.5 mph avg (41kph)… for 24 HOURS. 🤯 this makes me the second person to go over 600mi in 24 hours, @straps_377 being the first 🫡 . Additionally, the first to do it on a @Cruzbike and the first EVER in a race. 😱

Now the suck: I’m still working on my Cruzbike fit and I learned the hard way that my shoes/cleats are not right. 👟 My arch underwent 11.5 hours of stress, causing calf/shin cramping and ACL issues. 😖 My left side even ached as I compensated for the pain and tightness. Working with my crew, we scrounged together items to change shoes and cleats to a system that had worked previously. It was a huge relief, but some damage had been done and speed was lost. Additionally, my light must have been loosened in the pedal change (or maybe just happened on its own) and my light dropped shortly after causing more slow downs both on lap and in pit.

What’s the significance? 0.2mph avg lost and all the speed due to cramping and knee pain. But, I was still on pace and I was hopeful for 1000km until about 4 hours to go. My body had enough and I suffered to bring it home. 😣

The result was massive in all rights, but especially given the challenges. 💪

500km of scraping the bottom of the barrel.
-
I made a plan then got punched in the face 5x.
-
The plan was to make it a slightly fatigued—hard ride. I did a long ride two days before and wanted it to be an intense training day. I’ve done this before for positive training adaptation.
-
The problem? Wind, missing a record verification step, forgetting my water at first, and several other small cuts.
-
My dad said we were on plan H for heck. It sure felt that way…
-
The night before we had to redo a pre-ride for 1hr because we forgot to video it. So rest and sleep were highly disrupted.
-
2hrs in I almost stopped. My limit was 2 hours. But, it’s honestly been a long time since I have pushed through the pain like this. So, I decided to weather the storm.
-
It SUCKED… 6 hours of fighting the wind. My body was exhausted from battling it all day.
-
My legs felt completely flat from the start. And my watts showed it. One of my weakest performances power wise.
-
However, this was anything but weak. It was crazy strong. It was mental resilience at work. And… I still managed all 9 records while performing under a crazy amount of stress and pressure…
-
I share this to be real. It’s not all easy and this was a strong reminder how much every factor matters and stacks on top of each other.
-
I share this so you can know you can do hard things. You can survive and even thrive in situations that seem like you can’t even make it through. You are strong.
-
While my body is more tired than it has been after events lately, my mind and soul are flying high. 🙏

Instagram Stories geheim ansehen
