Last week, I celebrated a milestone birthday, and it would be fitting that I was surrounded around the love of epic people, some I've known for half of my life. This was a really cool and I'm grateful for the history we've made together through the years. Thank you! #family 💐🥂🎉

Yesterday marked the theatrical release and soundtrack album of "Christina Aguilera: Christmas in Paris", a project I’m incredibly proud to have collaborated on. @xtina carries a rare clarity of vision and being trusted to help give it sound is an honor I will never take for granted.
Over the past four months, alongside an extraordinary team, we brought an ambitious musical vision to life — and it stands as perhaps some of the most epic work we've done to date, a moment I was able to share with my family as well. We had a blast in Paris.
Thank you to @fgreene86 for your musicianship and precision as my copyist/orchestrator, @julesonstrings — my right hand and steady force as session coordinator, and @jpargman for his diligence, patience, and connective brilliance. Gratitude and appreciation to every player in the LA and Paris orchestras.
Always grateful for the brotherhood and creative alignment of @chrispat1986, @larry_flex, @colorblindfish, @houseofsam.la — the great facilitators who help shape everything at the highest level, always. 🥂
Congratulations to everyone involved! 💐
An esteemed privilege.

A beautiful day at Carnegie Hall…
This year I had the honor of serving as Guest Faculty and returning as Keynote Speaker for “The B-Side” — an incredible program shaping future voices and leaders in this ever-evolving music industry.
Grateful for the leadership of Ayanna Cole, Director of the Social Impact Programs at Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute, and Jamel Burgess, Assistant Director, for steering this important work.
Honored to serve alongside my fellow guest faculty- Corey Williams, Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs, Universal Music Group, and Naydeen Rodriguez, Director of Artist Brand Strategy and Marketing, Roc Nation. @coreywill3190 @nayriguez
Congratulations to this year’s graduates — the future is bright, and your voices and ideas are the catalyst to change for the better.

📸 Swipe for a few moments from the day.

I’m honored to have been a featured speaker at this year’s Transform Conference in Las Vegas, where I shared stories and experiences on Curiosity, Connection, and Experimentation—three forces that have shaped my career in music and are just as crucial in leadership and innovation.
We discovered many parallels between leading creative teams in entertainment and leading teams in business. The pressure, the risk, the need to trust the people around you—it’s all the same.
Thank you @helloajthomas for your insightful approach to this conversation, and for your benevolence. It was indeed a transformative experience.

Last week I was given the opportunity to share my insights on the convergence of AI and the future of creativity at the TEDxProvidence conference. Extremely grateful for this rewarding experience and excited for what the future holds.
Many thanks and gratitude to the masterminds @arnell_milhouse for the ask and trust, to @helloajthomas of @goodtroubleventures for your spirit and goal of creating a bridge between the tech world and entertainment, and to @ms.ashrodriguez for the centered support and wisdom as I have been preparing and studying for this for three months! 🥂

My Quincy moment happened when I was a young arranger, just off stage with Ms. Aguilera at a charity event in LA, where I’d arranged the background vocals and played piano for a semi-a cappella version of “Beautiful.” The room was filled with legends, but the buzz was all about one person—Quincy Jones.
My admiration for Quincy goes beyond words. Even in my teens, I knew I wanted to be like him. He was a pioneer, the first to do it all, setting an untouchable standard for Black arrangers, composers, music directors, and record producers. He showed us we belonged in rooms we’d only dreamed of, and his influence inspired my path. I even went to Berklee because Quincy had. We were both from the South Side of Chicago, our birthdays just days apart. He was the quintessential outlier—everything I wanted to be.
After the show, I knew I had to get close enough to tell him what he meant to me. When I finally reached him, after a line of the biggest names in the room, he surprised me by grabbing me and saying, “I knew that was all you up there—look at him, can’t be all of 12 years old!” And for the next 20 minutes, Quincy kept an arm around my waist, introducing me to everyone who came up to greet him. Each introduction felt surreal, as he shared stories and his legendary charisma filled the room.
At the end, I got the courage to ask for this photo. In that moment, I felt like one of the anointed ones—grateful for time spent with the greatest Master of our craft. They say our gifts make room for us and bring us before great men; this one photo has been my constant inspiration, a reminder in both light and dark times. Some of my best work has come under its influence.
Here’s to true eternal life, carried forward through the work left behind. The goal we all chase, yet none of us will catch up to. The greatest ever. My hero, Quincy Jones. 🥂💐
