Putting art and artists at the center 🖼️

Artists Count is a cross-border initiative that strengthens the region’s creative workforce through funding, research, and professional development.

Backed by a coalition of civic and philanthropic partners, Artists Count: San Diego + Tijuana directs $1.3 million in support to artists while building a deeper understanding of the conditions shaping creative work across the binational region.

The initiative reinforces the role artists play as essential contributors to cultural and economic life.

MiresBall developed the Artists Count brand identity and digital platform, creating a flexible system designed to expand alongside the program—from research focused on the creative economy to the selection of 40 artists who will receive funding to produce new work.

The @artistscount identity is a reminder that strong design systems don’t compete with their content—they create the conditions for it to be seen, understood, and valued.

Space 4 Art presents The Color of Silence, a group exhibition curated by Francisco Eme, opening June 6 at Art Produce Gallery. Through monochromatic visual languages, immersive installation, sound, and performance, the exhibition explores the tension between silence and noise, absence and presence, stillness and disruption.

Join us for the opening reception and live performances on Saturday, June 6 from 4–7 PM, with an additional performance event on June 20 featuring local musicians and noise artists.
