We met a guy on the AT known as White Wolf. He was set up at a road crossing less than 100 miles from the northern terminus of the AT, handing out fruit to thru-hikers that had been on trail for months but were nearing the finish. The concept of “trail magic” was new to us so we asked him what the big idea was. This is what he had to say.

From Georgia to Maine, the community you find along the Appalachian Trail is unmatched. While documenting @kristianultra FKT attempt, we were lucky enough to talk to a few people that have spent significant portions of their life on the AT. One of those people was Scott Grierson, AKA The Maniac, and we got to pester him with some questions about what makes the AT such a special place.

The full film, Terminus, comes out on @runsingletrack tomorrow.

Kristian Morgan (@kristianultra) is haunted by the Appalachian Trail. The British ultra-endurance athlete has spent much of the past decade chasing after the Fastest Known Time on the world’s most notorious route. This past summer, we joined him for his seventh, and final, attempt.
