DETAILED BREAKDOWN: Crocs Ripple “Graphite/Dusty Olive” @crocs @stevensmith @cidrobo

The Crocs Ripple continues pushing Crocs into a much more futuristic direction. Designed by Steven Smith, the silhouette leans heavily into sculptural design with a more enclosed upper compared to traditional Crocs, giving it a cleaner and more architectural look overall.

This colorway keeps things understated with a dark “Graphite” grey base paired with subtle “Dusty Olive” accents throughout, creating a really clean utilitarian look that fits perfectly into that gorpcore/outdoor aesthetic. The oversized Ripple outsole is still the main focal point though, featuring deep multidirectional grooves that add both traction and a ton of visual presence underfoot.

The entire shoe is built around Crocs’ Croslite foam construction, so despite the aggressive shape, it still keeps that lightweight and comfortable feel Crocs is known for. The Ripple just takes it in a much more experimental direction — less casual clog, more sculptural foam footwear. Overall, this is easily one of the cleanest Ripple colorways so far.

SNEAKER UNBOXING: Crocs “Roy” 🐊

The Crocs ROY is a futuristic foam slip-on that takes a completely different approach from anything we’ve seen from Crocs before. It was designed by Steven Smith and first showed up in April of this year through a collaboration with TEDxPortland.

The design is super bold and sculptural, with horizontal bar sections across the upper, along with open cutouts that give it that “puffy” or almost sliced-up look. It’s laceless, built entirely from EVA foam, and focuses heavily on shape and airflow rather than traditional sneaker construction.

It also keeps branding really minimal, letting the design speak for itself. You have Crocs branding on the inside as well as on the heel.

Overall, it feels like Crocs pushing into a more experimental direction—especially with Steven Smith behind it, who’s also responsible for designs like the Crocs Ripple—so it’s clearly part of a bigger shift toward more sculptural, design-driven footwear from the brand.
