Our second little yellow book has been making its way through letterboxes recently 💛🍂 complete with a beautiful oak leaf sticker.
Volume Two explores memory, and the quiet details we hold onto as a place changes and evolves over time.
Inside, you’ll find laughter, joyful moments, and colourful artworks created by residents at Wellington Vale Care Home 🎨✨ Our writer in residence Aoife Mannix also shares more stories and poems, including one celebrating local boxer Bella Bridle from Wellington Vale Boxing Club 🥊
If you’ve received a copy, we’d love to hear what you think 💭💛
Plot Lines is a project led by artist and writers, using storytelling to bring people together in and around Waterlooville.

Happy St David's Day
We are celebrating St David’s Day by giving a shout-out to a very special rural community that has come together and commissioned sculptor Rubin Eynon to create designs for a figurative statue of Twm Carnabwth, which will be sited next to Caffi Beca in Efailwen, Clynderwen. So many people genuinely want to see a public statue that tells our nation’s story of the Rebecca Riots, which began in May 1839 at Efailwen, on the border of Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, targeting tollgates as symbols of economic oppression. It is the actions of communities like these that make Cymru special, and together we’d like you to help Cymdeithas Cwm Cerwyn and the community in Efailwen and beyond raise awareness and funds to fabricate and install a statue of Twm Carnabwth so that we can all share in Welsh culture, language, and heritage with pride. If you can spare the cost of a bunch of daffodils, please visit https://gofund.me/6dab30f03 or DM us to find out how you can help raise £40,000. Thank you.

S/R had the pleasure of delivering a Keynote Lecture 'Liminal Spaces Led by Artists', as part of the module “From Isolation to Integration: Designing Connective Nodes for Community Wellbeing” at CSAD yesterday. Thank you to the staff & students from across multiple disciplines, including textiles, animation, graphics, interior design, fine art, makers, and ceramics, who provided thought-provoking insights into how art and design interventions in the public realm can create inclusive and positive change for people using the premise of the humble bus stop as a catalyst for social benefit.
Our future artists and creatives’ pictures are Morvan, Freya, Sandhya, Kate and Emily (more students were behind the camera)

We're now halfway through our co-design workshops in Ceredigion, having shared over 300 cups of tea to accompany our community conversations. One immediate outcome has been the identification of community champions and local halls and centres, which serve as vital anchor spaces for cross-generational activities. These venues are crucial for hosting a range of local services, activities, and events.
We thank the communities we have already visited and look forward to hosting further co-design workshops that uphold the team’s consistent goals to be creatively relevant, equitable, and informed by arts and planning policy, aiming for meaningful outcomes from and by communities. Watch this space! In the coming weeks, the artists’ works with the community will be uploaded to the Llunio Lle website in written, visual, and film formats.

Today we officially opened the Enchanted Woodland Playground – a magical new LEAP (Local Equipped Area for Play) designed to spark imagination and adventure for children and families.
We were thrilled to welcome pupils from Creigiau Primary School’s Eco Committee, @ysgolcreigiauschool who rolled up their sleeves to help plant over 100 trees before testing out the playground themselves. Their energy and enthusiasm brought the space to life as they climbed, jumped, hopped, ran and balanced their way around this fabulous new play area.
The Enchanted Woodland Playground was designed by Amanda Spence (Situated Studio) @amandaspencearchi and Rhian Thomas (Analog Architecture) @analog_archi and commissioned by Studio Response @studio_response on behalf of Persimmon Homes East Wales for its residential development The Parish @Llanilltern Village.
This project is the result of incredible multi-disciplinary partnership working: Amanda Spence (Situated Studio) and Rhian Thomas (Analog Architecture)brought the vision to life, inspired by the site’s history and nearby ancient woodland, and the playground was expertly fabricated and installed by Green Play Project Ltd @greenplayproject . Persimmon Homes East Wales @persimmon_homes embraced the opportunity to push boundaries in public art and play provision and were supportive throughout. We’re already looking forward to our next collaboration!
A huge thank you to @abarroscurtis Mr Alex Barros-Curtis MP who joined us for the ribbon cutting and to Cardiff Ground Care for supporting today’s tree planting.
Seeing children explore, laugh, play (and get just a little bit muddy) reminds us why these spaces matter – they nurture creativity, connection, and wellbeing.Today was certainly a good day.

There’s something deeply poetic about a little brown leather suitcase from the 1930s. It carries more than belongings—it carries stories. The worn edges, the faded handle, the way the leather softens with age… it all speaks of journeys taken and dreams chased. It reminds us of a time when travel was slow and intentional, when people packed only what they needed and learned to treasure the rest along the way. A suitcase like this isn’t just an object—it’s a quiet witness to love, departure, hope, and homecoming. A keeper of memories. A symbol of life in motion.
I have memories of a little brown leather suitcase under my bed that contained old playing cards and games from my gramps. Fond memories.
What do you think about when you see a little brown leather suitcase?

Get @reshare_app • @chrisjones.studio Three exceptional local artists, @heleddwynhardy @meinirmathias @hattie.mrrsn Hattie are working alongside Chris Jones Regeneration, @studio_response @gwecambrianweb and @hazel_ppp with a focus on delivering a series of participatory community workshops across thirteen rural villages in Ceredigion.
Ceredigion Council appointed the team back in August to develop a digital placemaking portal supported by community profiles, visioning work and opportunities for village life. The upcoming workshops aim to support the delivery of meaningful place plans for each village. The artists will draw on each community’s collected experiences and shared memories through art, storytelling, film, the written word, and digital media to source an elusive herring (sgadan in Welsh).
The workshops will offer different ways to participate, all aimed at empowering communities and aiding the co-creation of Place Plans through visual narratives, providing opportunities for artists and the wider project team to work with Ceredigion’s communities and to celebrate shared experiences through a dedicated digital portal.
If you have an interest in rural Ceredigion and want to get involved, you can visit: https://lnkd.in/eMvr8vCW to register and receive updates.
