Last weekend we made our way up to Flagstaff to help @treadlightlyteam, @trailsoffroad, @thretoffroad, @overlandexpofoundation and the Coconino National Forest install a kiosk at the the start of a popular route off the north end of SR89A and taking part in a cleanup of the high traffic camping area around it.

Some of us did end up needing to leave early before the kiosk was finished to go watch our very own volunteer coordinator Richard Lillard speak on a panel with others from @azstateparks, @tontonationalforest, @overlandexpofoundation and Chris of @cboffroadadventures talking about stewardship in overlanding and the importance of giving back in the off road community.

More than just hitting the trails. 🤘🏼
Last weekend during Overland Expo West, we teamed up with @treadlightlyteam @trailsoffroad, @santanford.customs, and a solid group of volunteers to help clean up and preserve one of Arizona’s favorite trails.
This is what the off-road community is really about. Respecting the land, building community, and making sure these places stay open for the next generation of explorers.
Huge thank you to everyone who showed up and put in the work.

Memorial Day weekend is considered the unofficial start of summer. As we head outdoors to ride, camp, explore, and enjoy public lands, remember that protecting these places is everyone’s responsibility.

Whether you’re on the trail, at the dunes, or in the backcountry, minimizing your impact helps protect access and keeps our outdoor spaces open for future generations.

Remember to follow the T.R.E.A.D. Principles this weekend:

• Travel Responsibly: Stay on designated routes and respect closures
• Respect the Rights of Others: Be courteous to fellow outdoor enthusiasts and nearby communities
• Educate Yourself:Know the rules, conditions, and preparedness needed before heading out
• Avoid Sensitive Areas: Protect wildlife habitats, wetlands, and cultural sites
• Do Your Part: Pack out trash, minimize campfire impacts, and leave it better than you found it

We’re halfway there! 🎉

Together, we’ve reached 500+ completed Responsible Rider Masterclasses on our way to 1,000, and every course completed helps protect our playgrounds!

Take the Water, Snow, or Offroad 101 course at ResponsibleRider.com and for every completion, @brp_global will donate $35 to support 35 Tread Lightly! stewardship projects through the Drive 35 campaign.

A huge THANK YOU to BRP and to everyone who has completed a course so far and committed to riding responsibly. 👏

Let’s keep the momentum going and reach 1,000 completions!

Huge thanks to everyone who joined the Edge of the World stewardship project at @overlandexpo West in the Coconino National Forest! 🌲🛠️

With the support of our incredible partners, @overlandexpofoundation, @trailsoffroad and @thretoffroad, more than 20 volunteers came together to install a new educational kiosk focused on responsible recreation and trail stewardship.

Instagram Stories geheim ansehen
