What happens when 3,225 people from 24 countries and 35 states come together in New Haven?
The 2026 Yale Innovation Summit.
Thank you to every founder, investor, researcher, student, creator, mentor, judge, speaker, and innovator who joined us at the 2026 Yale Innovation Summit. As the largest innovation gathering in the Northeast, we had over 2,500 attendees and awarded over $400,000 in prizes & awards. The conversations, ideas, and energy from you all made these two days absolutely unforgettable. Over at Yale Ventures, we are so grateful to everyone who made this event possible. Innovation can only happen when we create spaces for collaboration and curiosity. We loved building this community with you and can’t wait to see you all next year.

Yale’s home will always be New Haven, but its backyard is as big as America.
Look closely and you’ll see the ideas and hard work of Yale’s people and their local partners taking root in Missoula, Montana; Hearne, Texas; and Milledgeville, Georgia. You’ll find Yale people collaborating with local school districts to organize STEM education bootcamps in the Mississippi Delta and responding to a community need by delivering medicine to doorsteps in Las Vegas, Nevada.
On farms and in factories, at hospitals and across neighborhoods, the work of Yale is traveling far and wide and fast.
But what does that look like, exactly? How does Yale, with its centuries-long history of advancing life-saving medical treatments, developing cutting-edge technology, and expanding educational opportunities, meaningfully affect the lives of people today? And how is that impact manifesting nationwide?

Day 2 of the Yale Innovation Summit is officially underway, and what an incredible start it has been.
A huge thank you to Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont and Yale University President Maurie McInnis for helping open Day 1 of the Summit and highlighting the importance of innovation, entrepreneurship, and collaboration across Connecticut.
One of yesterday’s standout moments was the keynote conversation, “Innovation and Entrepreneurship across domains in the Age of AI,” featuring President McInnis. The discussion explored how AI is reshaping the future of research, healthcare, business, education, and the creative industries while reinforcing the importance of human connection and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Thank you to every founder, investor, student, creative, innovator, speaker, judge, mentor, and attendee who made Day 1 so energizing. The conversations, ideas, and connections happening throughout the Summit are exactly what make this community so special.
We also want to congratulate Craig Crews on receiving the inaugural Yale Founder Award. Craig’s work in targeted protein degradation and PROTAC therapeutics has transformed cancer treatment and helped shape an entirely new class of medicine. From his groundbreaking discoveries at Yale University to building several companies, his work represents the power of innovation translated beyond the lab. An exciting and well deserved recognition celebrating leadership, innovation, and impact within the Yale entrepreneurial ecosystem. Congrats again, Craig!

Yale’s home is New Haven, but our work is enriched by our partnerships in communities around the country.
In Michigan, that includes working with young people in Detroit to understand how neighborhood conditions and green space access can shape their relationships with the environment.
Based on their findings, Yale researchers and the Detroit Zoological Society developed Wildlife Neighbors, a no-cost STEM curriculum, to give middle school students hands-on opportunities to explore local wildlife and environmental issues by drawing on real-world data from their own city.
