I created this series in collaboration with @amplifierart and @intersectionsofourlives, extending ideas from my @matinggames project into a broader conversation around reproductive justice, care, and collective power.
These works are part of a larger initiative led by @latinainstitute, @napawf, and @blackwomensrj, centering the lived realities of women of color and gender-expansive communities.
This series connects to my ongoing @matinggames work, exploring bodies, autonomy, desire, and the systems that shape our reproductive choices. The stakes show up in access to healthcare, economic freedom, and the ability to build a life on your own terms.
To learn more or support the work, follow @intersectionsofourlives and @amplifierart.
Thank you @amplifierart for including me in yet another powerful project. ⚡

I spent the past couple mornings drawing the view from my window and decided to share it along with some of my favorite sketchbook drawings of the year. Happy end of 2025! 🐍

My white American grandfather was stationed in Korea for the duration of the war from 1950–1953. He returned with a Silver Star, a Purple Heart, and haunting memories. He recalled eating lunch on the Inchung Peninsula, flanked on either side by the torn remains of two North Korean soldiers. His platoon wasn’t given proper winter clothing and he hated the smell of burning wood for the rest of his life.
I learned about his memories after his death, some from family and others recounted at his military funeral. I grapple with inheriting the history of a war fought against Korean and Chinese people, as his half-Chinese American grandchild painting his memories into existence.
