“Wildest Dreams (Aisle 5)” acrylic on canvas 56”x52” 2026.
It’s hard to make ethical decisions when so many of the most basic systems are corrupt and totally normalized. Not that I do anything about it, just pointing to it with a painting of a bunch of meat lol. I’ve been on a real grocery store kick this year.
This painting was up a few weeks ago @independent_hq with @fredericksandfreiser 🖤🖤 thanks everyone who went to see it up!

Come visit us this weekend @independent_hqBooth 419 with new work by @daniellle_roberts_ and @louisaowen

Danielle Roberts paints nocturnal scenes shaped by the filling of need and the indulgence of want. Her figures drift through a world of constant proximity, where closeness is ever-present but connection remains just out of reach.

Louisa Owen constructs unstable forms that oscillate between architecture and organism. Built from antique paper, thorns, and organic remnants, her sculptures take shape as memory and fragility accumulate into something that seems provisional yet remains uncompromising.

Together, Roberts and Owen operate at different registers of the same experience: one turning outward toward the luminous promise of contact, the other inward into structures where interior life gathers and takes form.

I’ve been hiding out in a cave made of paintings for a few months (or maybe even more like a year). And now I cant wait to show a bunch of new work next month 🖤✨🖤✨🖤 feels like coming out of winter and stepping into spring with a whole new version of myself.

Found some decent paper and oil pastels in my storage. And started this drawing after a long walk down by the docks. I didn’t start with any intention, just kind of allowed for stream of consciousness drawing-which is probably how it’s always supposed to be if only there was enough time and paper. I’ve been painting/drawing so many scenes outside of shops, probably for many reasons that I am still trying to understand. I guess I have a lot of ideas and answers about it. I just don’t think it’s all that important to share atm. But hopefully sharing the images is enough for now :)

#Focus ~ Today we highlight the work of Danielle Roberts, who recently took part in the group exhibition ‘Someone is in my House’. We greatly admire her practice and are very pleased to have had the opportunity to present his work at the gallery this summer. @daniellle_roberts_

Danielle Roberts (*1991 in Stockton, CA) is an artist from Gabriola Island, British Columbia. In her moody and atmospheric paintings, Roberts explores the various psychological states brought on by her generation’s societal instability. Drawing from personal experience, her paintings are grounded in an uncanny sense of place. Through the collision of light and shadow she creates a world where light is simultaneously magical and toxic, against a darkness that is both soothing and foreboding. Recent Solo exhibitions include «Phosphorescents and Gasoline» at Fredericks and Freiser NY, «Idling» Micki Meng SF, «Evening All Day» at Fredericks and Freiser NY, and «Afterglow» Friends Indeed SF. Recent group exhibitions include «Nightshade: The World in the Evening» Oakland University MI, «Women of Now: Dialogues of Memory, Place, and Identity», Green Family Art Foundation, Dallas, TX, ‹What Now> PM/AM London UK, and «32 Artists» Harpers NY. Her work has been featured in publications including, Juxtapoz, Whitehot Magazine, Arinel, Hypebeast and the Museum of Non Visible Art. She currently lives and works in Queens, NY.

At Arts to Hearts Project, we love recognizing the brightest and most inspiring voices in the art world. Through our Best of Art World series, we highlight artists, galleries, and curators who are pushing boundaries, redefining creativity, and making a real impact on contemporary culture.
This time, we had the privilege of sitting down with Danielle Roberts, an extraordinary artist whose journey has taken her from the serene shores of Gabriola Island to the bustling streets of Brooklyn.

Hey hey just wanted to share some details from my painting “Never Ending Chorus” that was up @thearmoryshow with @fredericksandfreiser a couple of weeks ago. Sorry if it’s too much of this one thing but I wanted to have a chance to share pics myself and of some of the details that I really liked. I’m still kind of sick from going out armory weekend so it still feels relevant :p
