When travelling back from London on Wednesday morning, I listened to the great live record ‘On The Road’ by Christy Moore. 🙏 The song ‘North & South’ about political division in Ireland which he wrote with Bono has been in my head since and so, I recorded this version of it this morning.

Along with the sheer joy of the Irish folk and trad sessions we’ve been doing in @donpatriciosirishbar (next one Sunday May 31st! 🎻🪗🥃) it has been very inspiring to learn new songs and play again ones untouched for years.

Went for a walk in Montjuic this morning with @jaelovesframes 🌳 On the spur of the moment, we made this video, and when back in casa, I put it with the music and lyrics of a song called ‘The Human Factor’ from my second album of the same name 🏠🕯️

Pablo and I last week went to the woods of Torrelles de Llobregat to take some photos for his upcoming beautiful solo fingerpicking single called ‘Twigs.’ Keep an eye out for that! 👀🪵👂

We ate a great menu del día in @restaurantelsmanyos and later on that afternoon, wedging a phone into the bark of a tree, recorded a couple of songs in the forrest. This one is called ‘Heartworn Highway.’ 🕊️🐦‍⬛🦜

This February marked ten years of living in Barcelona. A decade of twists and turns, ups and downs, meeting great people, sharing magic nights, moving many times, almost leaving the Catalan capital, burnt noses, broken strings, a few grey hairs, lessons, loss, and plenty of joy. I feel very lucky with my lot: to be still living in this beautiful city, and especiallyto have played along the way with some truly fine musicians.

To celebrate the occasion, I’m putting on a few concerts this year. The first will be on Friday, the 1st of May in @lestrangerbcn_ a lovely venue in my neighbourhood of Poble Sec. I’ll be joined by @jpbalcazarjazz (bass) and @tonisaigi (piano) — the same two I played my first proper gig with back in May 2016. It was a full moon, a warm night, and I was shitting myself… but it went great. And the great @oriolrocamusic will be on drums.
