What’s better than a #CFDAMember moment on a red carpet? Two CFDA moments - at once! Lauren Sánchez Bezos, an honorary chair of the evening, stepped on the Met Gala carpet in a navy blue dress by @danielroseberry for @schiaparelli, which she accessorized with stunning @lorraineschwartz 60 carat diamond and pearl drop earrings and a 35 carat Marquise Golconda diamond ring 💎

May 1 is International Workers’ Day. Today - and every day - the CFDA recognizes the factories, workers, and teams who power American fashion, as well as the creativity and craftsmanship of designers and artisans. Thank you 🧵 🪡

From Beyoncé to Pharrell, Western-wear has found a new life across fashion and music. #CFDAMember @nickfouquet has quietly helped define that shift, shaping the role of headwear within it.

His approach —rooted in lived experience and guided by intuition rather than trend—continues to redefine the role of hats within contemporary fashion. In the process, he has cultivated a tribe centered, he said, around “Strong individualism. Eccentricity. A willingness to stand out. People who are more adventurous.”

Head to our link in bio to get a glimpse into Fouquet’s imagination, instinct, the language of hats, and more.

Last night at the American Image Awards, @ZacPosen was recognized as Designer of the Year by his dear friend @KatieHolmes in a moment that felt as personal as it was iconic.

At the CFDA tables, we gathered in equally good company—emcee Alina Cho and Fashion Icon honoree Ruben Toledo sat alongside CFDA members Maria Cornejo, Daniella Kallmeyer, Ashlynn Park, Stephanie Suberville, Andre Walker, Kim Shui, and the ever-so-stylish Molly Ringwald in a room full of friends and industry collaborators.

It was a night of celebration, community, and American fashion at its finest. Head to the link in bio for more.

At the National Arts Club on Friday, #CFDAmember Francisco Costa, in conversation with CFDA’s Marc Karimzadeh, talked about some of his definitive career moments - his 13-plus years as women’s creative director for Calvin Klein Collection, working for Tom Ford at Gucci and for Oscar de la Renta, and career highlights that included Lupita Nyong’o’s pearls-covered Oscars dress which was stolen after the awards ceremony. “TMZ kept calling us and everybody that we knew. They were making up this intrigue that we had created the whole thing,” he recalled. It wasn’t. The dress was found in downtown LA the following day.

Donna Karan’s ethos is rooted, among others, in the concept of “connecting the dots,” inspired by the work of her late husband, the artist Stephan Weiss.

On Thursday evening, Karan opened the doors to the doors to Urban Zen and the Stephan Weiss Studio in the West Village, which serves as a space to gather and “connect, create and communicate.” It was the perfect setting for CFDA’s inaugural evening of fellowship and networking for CFDA member designers and their teams.

“Each one of us is an individual, but what matters most is how we connect—because that creates something bigger, a new dimension,” Karan told the crowd, which included
#CFDAMember designers Andre Walker, Jasmin Larian Hekmat, Nicole Miller, Sachin and Babi Ahluwalia, Maria Cornejo, Italo Zucchelli, Ashlynn Park, Mimi So, Batsheva Hay, and Paul Morelli.
