The Casting Society proudly recognizes the establishment of Black in Casting Day, officially proclaimed by New York State and observed annually on February 28.
Founded by CSA member Asjai Lou, Black in Casting is an official CSA Affinity Group dedicated to honoring, uplifting, and creating access for Black casting professionals across film, television, commercials, and beyond.

From Broadway revivals to regional stages across the country, Geoff Josselson, CSA has built a remarkable career as one of theatrical casting’s most celebrated voices. 🎭✨
A three-time Artios Award winner, Geoff specializes in Broadway, off-Broadway, tours, and major regional theatre. His Broadway credits include landmark revivals of Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods, and Spamalot, among many others.
Off-Broadway, Geoff has worked with some of New York’s most respected companies including Classic Stage Company, the Public Theatre, and City Center Encores. He has also helmed special events for the Kennedy Center’s Broadway Center Stage Series, including productions of Guys and Dolls, Sunset Boulevard, and Oklahoma! in Concert at Carnegie Hall.
His regional work spans some of the country’s most prestigious theatres — from Arena Stage and The Old Globe to Oregon Shakespeare Festival and The Kennedy Center.
