Are you a researcher ready to share your work with a wider audience? 🎤

Apply to speak at the Inspiration Stage at our festival center Haus der Kulturen der Welt. We’re looking for researchers, experts, and emerging voices who want to turn their complex ideas and research findings into engaging public talks that resonate.

Selected speakers will receive professional coaching from public speaker and storyteller Dyane Neiman ( @the_bear_storytelling_berlin ), a writing workshop, stage photography, and the opportunity to present their work at the heart of the festival.

We encourage speakers to seek funding from their affiliated institutions.

🗓 Apply before 24 May.

We’re excited to share our 2026 Festival Theme: In Touch!

Science is not distant, exclusive, or closed off. It is a collective adventure—the deeply human pursuit of knowledge. With this year’s festival theme, In Touch, Berlin Science Week 2026 focuses on the personal side of science: how research touches and improves our lives, affects the people behind it, and connects us with one another.

The 2026 programme highlights the people, institutions, and stories behind the scientific breakthroughs, exploring what happens when science is in touch, when it loses touch, and how it connects us all. Partners are invited to share their research and the stories behind it, engaging the public and demonstrating the real-world impact of their work.

Want to become part of our 2026 programme?

🔗 Check out our Call for Participation via the link in our bio!
📅 Call closes on 24 May 2026!

Scientific breakthroughs shape our lives and lay the foundation for tackling the greatest challenges of our time.

Yet, for many not directly involved in it, science feels distant.

We believe science can only fulfil its potential when it is embraced as a vital part of everyday life. At Berlin Science Week, our mission is to strengthen the role of science in building a more resilient society. By placing cutting-edge research at the heart of cultural life, we make science understandable, approachable, and accessible to those it is meant to empower.

We can’t wait to bring science back into the city this 1–10 November!

A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers! 💫

If you joined us during Berlin Science Week 2025, you’ll remember the friendly faces in Science Week hoodies! Our volunteers are an essential part of our community. Many have been with us for years, and their enthusiasm continues to inspire us.

We’d like to thank each and every volunteer for your time, energy, dedication, and kindness. Your support made it possible to celebrate science across the entire city for the 10th time this year. From welcoming festivalgoers and guiding visitors, to supporting logistics, facilitating participation through Futures Canvas, and keeping every event running smoothly — you make the atmosphere at Berlin Science Week what it is.

Thank you for being part of this vibrant community. We can’t wait to see you again next year!
