New Zealand Project Part 2/3

‼️To be clear, these are on stock Revel builds specifically for their use and I wasn’t able to swap all of my sponsor components. I am still happily representing the brands listed below. Because of that I won’t be using these shots beyond these three posts. That being said, there was a lot of work that went into these and I think they turned out great! Great work @jordifritz!‼️

@schwalbetires // @norrona // @htcomponents // @gripitsports // @ergonbike // @kma.usa // @cushcore // @spokex_ // @ridewrap // @firstdegree_mtb // @bluegrass_eagle // @met_helmets // @quikrstuff // @srsuntour_inc // @topeak

Did what I wanted to do at @tdsenduro, it was scary, I’m glad I survived, and very impressed with a couple of the components on my bike for taking that impact like a champ. Namely: @htcomponents, @ergonbike, and @spokex_ 💪💪

@haley.batten Epic 9 with M2T’s is red 🔥
・・・
My Epic 9 💃🏼 made race-ready by the one and only @jer_alix and with all the components that I trust. Racing at the highest level is all in the details. Together with the people behind the scenes and our partners, we have put in the time, effort, and teamwork to make this bike one that I have so much confidence in. I can’t wait to show what it is capable of. ❤️‍🔥

Doing this one and DH men with the Specialized Epic Evo 8 and Ground Control tires was a fun challenge 🫡🤘

“You need to get used to it - it’s quite different!”

@floespineiratold me that and yes she was right.
Riding volcanic sand is a completely different game. It feels more like surfing than riding . If you fight it, you lose.

Here are my PRO tips for you.

• Stay loose and let the bike move under you
• Keep your speed - momentum is everything to not sink in - the faster the better
• Be gentle on the brakes (especially the front)
• Shift your weight slightly back to keep the front wheel floating.
• Plan your line early so you don’t have to steer aggressively
• Lower your tire pressure for more float
• Run a mudguard, or you’ll be eating sand all ride
It also helps protect your fork seals from all that fine grit.

Once you get the flow, it’s one of the smoothest and most fun feelings out there.

Follow for real downhill technique and pro tips.

Avantages d’Anonstories
