iConnectivity
Innovative audio and midi interfaces for live and studio musicians. Proudly designed by nerds in Calgary.
Been wanting to rebuild my playback setup into a proper fly rig for a while now… and it finally begins. 😮💨
There’s just something deeply satisfying about opening fresh rack gear and slowly putting the whole setup together.
Huge thanks to @sweeleephilippines for making this happen!
Finally got to unbox:
• iConnectivity PlayAudio1U
• SKB 1SKB-ISF2U
Also shoutout to:

Let’s get into it! 🤙🏽
1. 🎛️Confirm MIDI Routing
- We’re using a MIDI controller plugged into a HST port. The Novation Launchkey Mini MK4 has two virtual MIDI ports; Port 1 is for MIDI notes and CC & Port 2 is for DAW control and Scripting. We’re using HST 1 for Port 1 and HST 2 for Port 2.
2. 💻 USB Host Reservation
- Select Port 1 from the HST 1 Port Reservation dropdown menu…Likewise for HST 2 and Port 2. This will ensure that the correct virtual ports from the LaunchKey Mini are routed properly to Ableton Live.
3. 🎚️ Ableton Control Surface
- In Ableton Preferences>Tempo & MIDI menu choose the Launchkey MIDNI MK4 as the Control Surface. For Input and Output we’ll select PlayAUDIO2U HST 2 since we reserved Launchkey Mini Port 2 to HST 2. Remember that Port 2 on the Launchkey communications scripting messages for Ableton Live feedback on the controller and vice versa.
4. 🤯 BOOM
- The Yellow Box in session view corresponds to the LED pads on the LaunchKey MINI. You should see that the color scheme of the Launchkey Mini pads matches the Ableton Live color scheme (except for colors like grey that the Launchkey cannot reproduce.)
This process can be used for a lot of mini controllers that take live feedback from Ableton Live.
Let me know if this works for you & happy programming MIDIots 🧠🤙🏽

As our QA lead, Ekona has been intensively testing PlayAUDIO2U. One his tasks has been to put it through it’s paces with @autotune to say we’ve been floored by its performance would be an understatement.
