Marius, Axel & I started working on the demo for this track when we moved into our new studio in Hamburg about a year ago. We rediscovered the song in summer last year & met Lisl shortly after. We send Lisl the demo and invited her to our studio. It was a perfect match straight away. We finished the song together and wrote the last part of the song that day.

Can’t believe this song is out now.

As someone with social anxiety who tends to overthink things and compare themselves to others, feeling connected and meeting new people is often a biiiig struggle. Felix & I knew right from the start that we know that feeling all too well.
You always think other people are wayyyyy more chill in these situations. When actually, they often feel the same way—it’s just that your own mind often refuses to see it. The last line captures our frustration perfectly: you just hope that the other person can somehow see through this mask and still see what’s inside you.
