Our second little yellow book has been making its way through letterboxes recently 💛🍂 complete with a beautiful oak leaf sticker.

Volume Two explores memory, and the quiet details we hold onto as a place changes and evolves over time.

Inside, you’ll find laughter, joyful moments, and colourful artworks created by residents at Wellington Vale Care Home 🎨✨ Our writer in residence Aoife Mannix also shares more stories and poems, including one celebrating local boxer Bella Bridle from Wellington Vale Boxing Club 🥊

If you’ve received a copy, we’d love to hear what you think 💭💛

Another little teaser for Plot Lines Vol.2 coming soon to a Waterlooville home near you …

In this issue Han Newton beautifully describes her memories and recollections of the area. She comments upon change and how memories are formed and alter over time whilst weaving in lovely conversations she had with the residents from Wellington Vale Care Home. This publication is full of colour, laughter and joyful moments and of course another special Waterlooville sticker has been created too!

Plot Lines Vol.2 is getting ready to roll out soon and if we do say so ourselves this is a very special publication😍 It features new writing by Han Newton and Kym Devine as well as words from our writer in residence Aoife Mannix. Han and Kym spent summer 2025 running creative writing and collage poetry workshops with residents of Wellington Vale Care Home. In Vol.2 we share some of the beautiful and thoughtful works which the residents made.

Aoife meanwhile shares new writing inspired by local conversations, events and encounters – from a young boxer finding her confidence in the ring, to community acts of care, and reflections on nature and belonging. This short extract is from ‘Host’ an incredibly moving poem about an exceptional individual.

We can’t wait to share the next volume of Plot Lines with you all!

Our writers Anna Jones and Lucy Fackrell spent time at the end of September 2025 with some incredible students from Crookhorn College. The poems and pieces of writing created by the students were really outstanding as they explored themes related to Memory and Place.

This poem by Isabell felt too good not to share, I think we can all relate to needing a Calm Land sometimes.
