@radiation_pattern is the musical project of Utrecht based artist Simone Altavilla, born from a fascination with the silent dialogue of electromagnetic waves. His sound practice translates invisible frequencies into rhythm and resonance, an exploration of how energy moves, transforms, and connects.
Through a fluid interplay of tribal percussion, dub-inspired basslines, and expansive, meditative textures, he sculpts sonic environments that invite both movement and contemplation. Each composition becomes a field of transmission, a place where intuition and technology, ritual and circuitry, converge in luminous vibration.

As a founding member of @mtmrphss.collective a party collective, and co-curator of @materica_records, Simone explores the alchemy between collective energy and individual perception.
His music is less a linear narrative than an unfolding process: an experiment in listening as communion, and sound as matter in constant transformation. The first event of Terreno Liminale will be held in the community space at @lolalokaal on April 25th.

We will be hosting @topu__music (live), I // O (live), @radiation_pattern and @teaferrari_ (live A/V), and @aka.hyoo (DJ). Tea Ferrari will also provide visuals for the rest of the performances. More details to follow about our artists.

This will be an evening of ambient electronic and acoustic elements where we invite the listeners to relax and go inwards.

The evening will begin with an optional shared meal from 17:30-19:00 run by Giulia. There will be a small bar run by Michiel.
Music will start at 19:00. Entry by donation on arrival.

With this mix, he wants to bring a veil of mystery and a sense of curiosity for the invisible.

I usually start my sets by choosing the first tracks with care, and then I build everything around the mood I want to transmit. I wanted to create a very tangible contrast between the first and the last track.”

Radiation Pattern is currently working on a new EP, an A/V project with @teaferrari_ , and an ongoing project with @donia_jrbchi . Together they’ve released an 8-hour, 8-minute jam session with @examine_archive_backup , with more tracks coming next year.

As the name itself suggests, Radiation Pattern folds electromagnetic waves of sonic interpolation, morphing invisible shapes into more complex spectral structures. Simone crafts a versatile Italian sound in Utrecht, where aseptic dub paves the horns right before hi-tech hypnotic bass rollers pulse through the system’s crossovers. Founding member of @mtmrphss.collective, he’s been recently releasing “Subtle Lines” under the same co-curated @materica_records, debuting with a very own signature album, while featuring a VA for @_area127_ and crafting meticulous selections for@somniarecords__ and @fluxcollective.oslo.

Inspirando-se nas comunicações que utilizam ondas eletromagnéticas, cria um som profundo e versátil algures entre o dub, o bass, o techno e o ambient, desde a pista de dança a paisagens sonoras mais meditativas. É membro fundador do @mtmrphss.collective e co-curador da @materica_records, no qual acaba de lançar o seu primeiro LP ‘Subtle Lines’.

Radiation Pattern is a Netherlands-based, Italian-born DJ, producer and live performer. Drawing inspiration from communications using electromagnetic waves, he crafts a deep and versatile sound somewhere between dub, bass, techno and ambient, from the dancefloor to more meditative soundscapes. He is a founding member of @mtmrphss.collective and co-curator of @materica_records, on which he has just released his debut LP ‘Subtle Lines’.
