Tonight at Sam First: Pia Salvia Quartet with Dusty Brough, Miles Jay, and Noam Israeli.

Pia Salvia is an award winning Belgian harpist, vocalist, and composer who blends jazz, pop, and world influences. A Berklee College of Music graduate, Salvia has performed with Stevie Wonder, George Benson, Lizz Wright and so many more.

Tonight at Sam First: Tuesday Happenings hosted by Gerald Clayton.

This week, Gerald Clayton leads the house band for an evening that begins with a set at 7:30pm and opens into a jam session from 9:30–11pm. Jam session participants can use code SAM1JAM for discounted admission to the second set.

I absolutely cannot wait to make my bandleader debut at the legendary @samfirstbar May 28!!!

I’ve been lucky enough to get involved in some extremely high level areas of work in the jazz, composing, audio engineering, music production, cinematography and photography worlds - It’s low key why I moved to LA.

But at the core of that, I am a saxophonist. I’ve been playing this instrument for 20 years! And for a long time I’ve been working to create an artistic ecosystem robust enough for my saxophone playing to live in. That ecosystem is now alive and well, and I’d like to welcome you in it and show you what I’ve been secretly creating for the past four years.
