Infinite Mass out now on @trulerecords
@adonis.adonis.adonis && @rosesofelagabalus resident

ੈ✩‧₊˚ SIXTH SENSE 006 - live recording by @drumsofjay ❤️
Jay Duncan and I met sometime after I moved to London in 2016. We met at @corsica.studios , somewhere between the smokey dancefloor of room two and the green room. A few years later, we put out a track each on @midlandsound label @gradeduk - it was very early in both of our production journeys which brought us closer. It’s safe to say some of my earliest memories of being in London at raves and listening to music are with Jay, and it’s carried on that way over the past 10 years.
Truthfully, she is what I would consider one of the most underrated DJs in London - in the last 6 months she has seen more gigs and touring, and has released records with the iconic label @trulerecords by @al_wootton and @erolalkan ’s label @phantasysound . She is a resident at London’s queer party @adonis.adonis.adonis , and she has forthcoming music on their label, as well as a collaborative EP with myself later this year to be released on my label Psychic Readings. In 2021, Ricardo Villalobos did a remix of one of her tracks from the Phantasy release.
This is the first live recording in the Sixth Sense series and I’m not sure it will be something I regularly do, but in this case, I felt it necessary. I was in the crowd for this recording and I thought the entire time that it was one of my favourite times I’d heard Jay play.
Interview & mix on the site as always. Hope you enjoy!!!

(ICYMI, this is a mix series hosted and created by my because I love the format of mix series xx)

Jay Duncan is a South London’s underground staple and resident of London’s Adonis. She finds the perfect balance between the percussive, c*nty and dub techno in her own productions and DJ-sets.
Jay delivered an incredible set during our New Years Marathon in TILLATEC’s washroom. This mix is no different, it takes you on a ride, it’s gives moody euphoria and nostalgic feelings. A beautiful piece carefully crafted, it blurs the lines between genres and feels rather focused on atmospheres.
Jay shared some words on the mix herself:
“This mix was recorded between Los Angeles and London, specifically Ormside Projects. I often find myself between these two places, and I wanted to put together something to welcome the sun in the first days of spring. I’ve always wanted to make a mix like this, i guess it’s been living in my head building over years and years, the kind of thing you let take you along for the ride, its moody, jacking, broody with lots of light shining through its depth and emotional glimmers bouncing back at you. I often find the perfect mix is the one that you take with you on a walk around a city, or a new place and it can always remind you of that time in your life. I hope this can be that for someone.”
Track Highlight: Crash Guard - Basic Drive
‘’I’ve had this track for ages, and always wanted to put it in a mix, i love its broody driving force with the low end pulling up whilst choral voices shine through the track, perfect for some spring thinking!’’
Thanks Jay<3!

i saw new york in the hot sun for the first time and play @nowadaysnyc for @lanoche.party into the night. i was blessed to hear dj sprinkles play the next day at public records, where she played my track ‘i get my kicks till there is nothing left’ it was a moment i will cherish forever. it felt particularly special as the track is a tribute to lou reed in a very specific deep house style inspire by terre thamlitz, i’d heard lou speak about the streets of downtown new york only in song, and the track ‘kicks’ which i recite feels like i’m there everytime. sometimes the best songs are like a time capsule aren’t they?
it’s also part of @exlruth ‘s Opera Sunday compilation CD ‘supertitles’ which has all been deeply inspired by our friends seeing sprinkles playing at panorama bar together and truly changing our worlds, terre told me that she has been listening to the CD in her car on repeat…. this moment brought to life the simplicity of how an idea can just become exactly what it was intended to be exactly where it was intended to be heard.
After this i played on the lot radio for an hour, inspired i went deep and it’s up online, playing some unreleased bits from opera sunday commerads @fkaboursin and @cleyraaa @exlruth and hesse K and myself there are some snippets but i very much enjoyed playing after such a special weekend for music.
I burnt in LA heat and had the best time at @pordetroit road testing bits. Thanks to @xingerxanger for some of these snaps from the party. Till next time

it’s also part of @exlruth ‘s Opera Sunday compilation CD ‘supertitles’ which has all been deeply inspired by our friends seeing sprinkles playing at panorama bar together and truly changing our worlds, terre told me that she has been listening to the CD in her car on repeat…. this moment brought to life the simplicity of how an idea can just become exactly what it was intended to be exactly where it was intended to be heard.
After this i played on the lot radio for an hour, inspired i went deep and it’s up online, playing some unreleased bits from opera sunday commerads @fkaboursin and @cleyraaa @exlruth and hesse K and myself there are some snippets but i very much enjoyed playing after such a special weekend for music.

big thanks to @openground.club + @ballettaudio for the invite to wuppertal. thanks to markus and christine! i’m still processing the sound and experience. from sound checking and exploring the club empty to then seeing bodies move on the dance floor and hearing the crisp intricacies of my records in the annex. it’s really beautiful to see such a club in a nice city such as wuppertal bring such a sense of community. there is a like mindedness between people in that space, aka it like a pilgrimage…i’m always grateful to connect with new people and delve into depths of life with them too. lovely @mauzius, @softburn_ @ophelieeeee__ @neffa_t and josey
in the photo me + @softburn_ are holding his 7” records - actually the last two he played, i’m holding open up by @lordtusk and @jamesmassiah - hearing james’s voice on that sound system was really special. clint ended with ‘ring my bell’ by anita ward - i love that song so much and i was curious as to hearing disco on that sound system so it was the perfect way to end the night.

Heralding the end of January, two beloved figures of the UK club and underground scenes at large take to the decks, for an extended 4h b2b on the 31st of the month.
Dextrous, ever skilful, and always surprising, firm club favourite @lukas_wigflex makes his long awaited Ormside debut. Lukas is a beloved presence both the island over and further afield; an emblem of what keeps club culture in the UK characterful and vibrant, Wigflex is something of a nightlife devotee. Having spent the best part of the last 20 years dedicating his energy to pursuits in front of and behind the decks, as both a DJ and promoter of the legendary @wigflex parties, where he’s committed his efforts to providing spaces that bridge the gap between emerging local artists and stalwarts of the international dance scene. As a DJ, it’s rare to find a safer pair of hands; Wigflex sets are never predictable, but his distinctive approach and attitude to the music is undeniably specific and compelling every time.
DJ and producer @drumsofjay has been going from strength to strength over the past few years, having been steadily affirming herself as one of the most versatile yet perhaps under-sung presences of the UK underground for the best part of a decade. With an impressive string of releases across labels such as Midland’s @gradeduk , @al_wootton ‘s @trulerecords , @phantasysound and @adonis_adonis_adonis (of which she is a party resident) Jay has a knack for effortlessly expanding the remit of her sonic range, demonstrating time and again her aptitude for both sensitivity to mood and environment, paired with the deft ability to switch it up at the drop of a hat.
Similarly multifaceted, and both equipped with a breathtakingly broad arsenal of records, these two feel somewhat like kindred spirits in our minds - we can’t wait to see what they bring to the dance floor.
Support comes in the form of Ormside mainstay @grayofeightbillion , who returns to the homestead after a brief stint away from the Bermondsey triangle, opening with a two hour set to prime the room.

in an attempt to spend less time on screens i spent this year experimenting with VHS and weird little digital cameras - it’s been a real pleasure and joy to document some honestly golden moments with my lovely friends during this crazy year. so long 2025 it’s been a wild ride.

From punk roots to dub-soaked b-lines or even synth-pop shimmer there’s a lot going on in Jay’s world and she’s here to show it. We caught up with Jay Duncan for a Last Orders chit chat ahead of her basement debut this Saturday 13th September for The Cause’s In Bloom show with thumbprint gang.
A decade deep in London, she’s danced it, lived it, and spun it into sets that feel like Morpheus himself has slipped you the red pill and dragged you onto the floor. Expect sweat (yes we know it’s hot down there), palo santo, and liquid-gold moments. Music that’s exquisite, full of desire, and made to get you feeling *elevated* on the floor.
As cliché as this sounds but still very much true, Jay doesn’t just play records she builds a story. Whether it’s an Adonis all-nighter, a Superstore Sunday, or the wormholes she’ll be digging in our boozer basement. It’s all about that sense of belonging, wherever you’re stood, whoever you are. Proper party-starting antics pushed by percussive trouble and maybe a tear or two for equal measure.
Final Tickets on link now for Saturday. Don’t sleep on this one…
