In the spirit of resolutions, I recently indulged in a much-needed hiatus from my creative endeavors to figure out what I really want to do with my life. I know that’s a pretty big question to ask myself at such a young age. Still, after waiting for life to happen for so long—while mindlessly experiencing it and being completely dissatisfied—I’ve decided to take life by the reins and rediscover the control I’ve had all along. Although there’s a sense of responsibility that is required when determining my path, I’ve reconciled with the act of letting go of ideas (or, more aptly, expectations) that were holding me back. Turns out, maintaining unrealistic expectations is even more consequential than taking the ultimate leap of faith…
