had an amazing time up north this weekend! it was definitely a much needed rest and relaxation for both me and my friend! i was able to start some new art (coming soon) and also started reading booth by karen joy fowler! so far i have no negatives, but as someone who loved ‘we are all completely beside ourselves’, i’m hoping this one is just as good.

It took 3 tries for me to fall in love with new york city. I still can't imagine myself living in New York, but it is a place to wander around with no particular destination in mind. It almost feels good to exist in a place where no cares what you're doing because everyone is always on the move. I found solace in soho and that could be partially biased only cause it reminded me of parts of Brighton, England. Do you know how often I reminisce about my time spent there and how the sea breeze made me feel like it was blowing away all the negativity inside me? Well, Soho was able to do so on a lesser scale. Without idly walking around and maneuvering through little italy and chinatown, I doubt my time there would have been worth it. Have you guys ever found a place that makes you feel at home or invincible,maybe even mentally stronger? Obviously besides where you reside at the moment, unless of course you've moved there from your childhood home. Please let me know, I'd love to visit somewhere new. Who knows, maybe you'll find a new travel buddy, and by that I mean me. ❤

I turned 23 on Sunday (see the picture above, that's me on my birthday) and got to spend it in New York.
