I travelled to @yquem for Métamorphoses, a remarkable dinner led by @maurocolagreco and the amazing team from @restaurantmirazur, filled with extraordinary moments that I will share with you.
But what came last felt… untouchable.

They brought out a bottle from 1935.
A year suspended between two wars, still shaped by the shadow of its time. 1935 was a prelude to disaster. And yet, in the vineyards of Sauternes, Yquem believed beauty was still worth making. They chose to trust that the future would still be here to receive it.

And we were! Ninety years later, we opened it.
Glasses in hand, drinking something that survived.

Thank you @lo.pasquini, @annabelle_grellier, and @sab_ubi_ for opening the door to something unforgettable.

And…. It’s a wrap! Harvest at #ChateauChevalBlanc is done! How special was it to join the amazing team that picks the grapes at Cheval year after year at one of the last harvest lunches? Even more so because I was joined by my old roomie @caroline_newall from my univerdity days and her amazing “Canadian crew” of wine-loving friends! Thank you, Pierre-Olivier, Pierrot, Nicolas, Jeanne & team. It was magical! 🫶🏻
