WOW. Honored is an understatement, but that’s exactly how I’m feeling to be named to Fortune’s Most Powerful Women list this year. To be included among this group of women, leaders who are redefining what’s possible across industries, is truly a privilege.

Moments like this make me reflect less on a title and more on the journey and the people who make it possible. I’ve been fortunate to learn from and work alongside so many strong, talented women and allies who continue to raise the bar every day.

I believe the most powerful leaders are the ones who bring others with them. Those who lift and create space for the next generation to grow and lead. I’m proud to lead a company where this happens every day, and I’m grateful to be a part of the Fortune community who recognizes and fosters this type of advocacy as well. Mother’s Day is special to so many of us. It’s also a time for reflection and gratitude. Today, I’m thinking about the women who have shaped me at home, at work, and across generations.

At @ultabeauty, we’re lucky to witness that connection every day. We see grandmothers, mothers, and daughters shopping together in our stores. That generational bond is incredibly meaningful, and it’s central to who we are.

I’m also inspired by the mothers across our Ulta Beauty team who balance careers, families, and personal well-being with strength and purpose. What you do every day matters…and the example you set reaches far beyond today.

I’m especially grateful for my own mom, whose resilience, grit, and wisdom has guided me through every season of my life. Additionally, my mother-in-law has been a steady and supportive gift in my life for many years. And to my own kids: you continue to teach me empathy and perspective (and sometimes, lots of patience 😉)! Being your mom (& bonus mom) has made me a better leader and a better human.

I remember firsthand from my own in-store days what a labor of love that type of work is, and I was filled with pride to see their dedication and care today, as it enables seamless experiences for our guests.
