Picnic season is calling 🧺🥪

The ultimate picnic sandwich is all about generous layers and fresh ingredients! Our Multi-Cooker is the perfect appliance to help you create easy, delicious recipes (while keeping your kitchen fresh thanks to its built-in smoke extractor).

Serves 3
Ingredients:
1 sourdough baguette
1 rump steak
1tbsp butter
1tbsp oil
1 red onion, sliced
1tbsp balsamic vinegar
3tbsp mustard mayonnaise
1 large tomato, sliced
Handful rocket
Parmesan
Salt and pepper to season

Method:
1. Start by preheating the flat top on the multicooker.
2. Grease the tray with a little oil, before adding the sliced onion, and sweat it until they begin to soften and colour.
3. Season your steak with salt, then add it to the same tray as the onions, searing the first side until golden. Flip your steak and add some butter, basting the steak until golden and cooked to your liking we went for medium rare, cooking it for 2 minutes on each side.
4. Remove the steak from the tray and set it aside to rest.
5. Stir the onions through any leftover steak juices to capture all the delicious flavour, then deglaze with balsamic vinegar, and allow it to reduce until your onions become dark and caramelized.
6. Change to the griddle tray, and toast your sourdough baguette.
7. Slice your steak into strips.
8. Assemble the sandwich, starting with a liberal amount of mustard mayo, then add the jammy onions, tomatoes, steak slices, rocket, and a healthy grating of parmesan cheese.
9. Portion your sandwich, and share with friends.

Homemade chilli oil in 20 minutes… and honestly it’s so easy you never need to buy it again! Fragrant, smoky, fiery with a touch of sweetness to balance everything out. I’ve been putting it on everything.
The trick is doing the whole thing in the Panasonic Air Fry Combi Microwave. Theshallots and garlic slow-cook in the oil right in the bowl, no standing fussing over a hob. Pour it straight over the chilli flakes so they bloom in the heat. The smell. It’s incredible.
Crispy or jammy — your call. Both v good
Makes approx. 1 cup • 5 mins prep, 12–15 mins cooking
¾ cup neutral oil
1 large shallot or ½ onion
4 garlic cloves
4 tbsp chilli flakes (3 smoked, 1 Korean gochugaru)
Salt
Sugar
Method
Add finely diced shallot and oil to a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on full power 7–9 mins, stirring once or twice, until soft and reduced. Add thinly sliced garlic, microwave a further 3–4 mins until just golden. Pour through a sieve over your chilli flakes and gochugaru so the heat blooms them. For crispy: cool the strained bits until crunchy, stir back in. For jammy: skip the sieve and pour everything straight over. Season with salt and a pinch of sugar while warm. Cool completely, then jar up. 🌶️

Some days the workday a lot and you just need a really good comforting carb. I don’t know what it is about carbs but they just seem to make everything better...

This is what I make. Crispy jacket potato, crispy bacon, sour cream, chives and really good butter. I get everything into the Panasonic air fryer microwave, make a cup of tea, do bits and bobs on my laptop and then lunch is ready. My little carby hug

Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, in much less time than the oven! My regular supermarket-size potato was done in 15-20 mins*.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝘁:

Oil your potatoes and give them a generous coat of salt and pepper (or your fave seasoning... I love a roast chicken spice mix for a bit of pizzazz). Cook on Airfry 5 (extra crispy skin) or Combination 3 (more classic) for 15-20 minutes or until crisp, fluffy and cooked through.

For the bacon, lay streaky bacon on the air fryer basket. Cook on Combi 4for 3-5 mins depending on how crispy you like it.

Split your potato, in goes the butter, a big spoonful of sour cream, crispy bacon and chives to finish. Honestly, ultimate comfort food.

*Cooking times will vary depending on potato size.

Never buy crispy shallots again. I’m serious. You can make them in your Panasonic Air fryer Microwave and they are so much better than shop bought.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝘁:
Thinly slice 4-5 shallots (just under 1mm). Place them in a microwave safe jug, cover with a neutral oil... I love a cold pressed rapeseed for this. Microwave at 1000W for 8-10 mins until golden brown. Remember they’ll keep cooking once they come out! Tip through a sieve over a bowl to catch that beautiful shallot oil. Place on paper towel, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Done.

I turned this into a proper little lunch...

Toss tender stem broccoli with a little oil, salt and pepper. Cook on the air fry with microwave function (AF 5) for 6 mins until blistered with a nice al dente crunch. For the almonds, microwave at 1000W for about 4 mins, checking at 1 min intervals after this until golden.

Plate up your tenderstem, drizzle over some of that shallot oil, top with crispy shallots, flaked almonds, a grating of lemon zest and a squeeze of lemon. So simple and so delicious.
