Artist spotlight: DJ Chops

Last and certainly not the least, Chops returns from XMAS JAM to give us his take on Dilla’s discography 🤍
Dilla has played a part in his Hip-Hop journey since early beginning, (“Players” in many ways 😉) he hopes to use this chance to revisit him, like an old friend.
With Chop’s signature soulful selections mixed with hard hitting Dilla bangers, audience are left with an irresistible urge to VIBE OUT
SWC: “Could you describe a special moment you had with Dilla’s music?”
Chops: In 2019, i remember hearing a sample flip into Dilla’s “Baby” being right in the feels for me . I think the sample leading right into it made it very special. That was my first listen of “Baby” cut by DJ Illo on WeFunk Radio @wefunkradio , a canadian hiphop radio station renowned to alot of hip-hop/r&b/soul/funk/disco/jazz fans worldwide . Farhan was the first few who got me listening to WeFunk .
I’m glad that SayWhatCypher is celebrating his life’s music . I see this as a time to remember Dilla, and an opportunity to consciously listen his music more than before 🎶
