Three things have always been in my DNA: #Detroit, Baseball, and Music — particularly Hip-Hop and @amp_fiddler was one of the most influential figures in Hip Hop that may never have heard off, but his influence mattered.

He was honored with a street being named after him and I was honored to be there to cover it.

Over the last week, a lot of y’all had incredible feedback on my story on the street dedication for @amp_fiddler. But more of you said you were surprised that he had such a thorough impact on music.

Well, a new exhibit at Wayne State University looks at his life and musical legacy. And we told the story on @local4news.

• 30 years ago, “Kiss from a Rose” by Seal earned 3 Grammy Awards at the 38th Annual Grammy Awards on February 28, 1996.
