تم اختيار بشر كنج أبو صالح، ربى الفراونة، أكرم الحلبي، عايد عرفة وحسين ناصر الدين للمشاركة في إقامة فنية جماعية، ضمن برنامج المعهد الفرنسي × مدينة الفنون الدولية.

تندرج هذه الإقامة ضمن مشروع «أصوات الأماكن»، وهي مبادرة من مجلس العجب (بيت لحم)، وجاءت في إطار موسم المتوسط 2026، حيث تسلّط الضوء على رؤى فنية متفرّدة، وتشجّع الحوار وتبادل الأفكار والتعاون بين ضفّتي البحر الأبيض المتوسط.

↘️ Busher Kanj Abu Saleh, Ruba Alfaraouna, Akram Al Halabi, Ayed Arafah & Hussein Nassereddine sont les lauréats de la résidence collective Sounds of Places, dans le cadre du programme Institut français x Cité internationale des arts.
 
Pensée avec le centre d’art Wonder Cabinet (Bethléem), cette résidence s’inscrit dans la Saison Méditerranée 2026, en mettant en avant des regards artistiques singuliers et en encourageant le dialogue, la circulation des idées et les collaborations entre les rives de la Méditerranée.

↘️ Busher Kanj Abu Saleh, Ruba Alfaraouna, Akram Al Halabi, Ayed Arafah & Hussein Nassereddine are the laureates of the Sounds of Places collective residency, part of the Institut français x Cité internationale des arts programme.
 
Designed in collaboration with the Wonder Cabinet art centre (Bethlehem), this residency is part of the Mediterranean Season 2026 initiative, promoting unique artistic perspectives and encouraging dialogue, the exchange of ideas and collaboration between the shores of the Mediterranean.

عايد عرفة فنان فلسطيني، مواليد 1983، خريج أكاديمية الفنون الدولية في رام الله 2012، نشأ ويقيم في مدينة بيت لحم، يعمل في التشكيل البصري عبر الوسائط المختلفة خاصة الرسم والتركيب ولديه اهتمامات بالتجارب الصوتية الموسيقية. ناشط في البرامج الثقافية، اهتمت أعماله بمواضيع حول المشهد المعماري، الأهل، الرمزية والهوية.

“حبينا” هي مجموعة تجريبية حية من المواد الصوتية من مجموعة تسجيلات يوتيوب مع ألحان قصيرة ومؤلفة حول البقاء والحب والأذرع المفتوحة نحو السماء.

Live from the Wonder Cabinet on Radio AlHara

Ayed Arafeh is a Palestinian artist, born in 1983. A 2012 graduate of the International Academy of Arts in Ramallah, he grew up and resides in Bethlehem. He works in visual arts across various media, particularly drawing and installation, and has an interest in musical and acoustic experiments. Active in cultural programs, his work explores themes of architecture, family, symbolism, and identity.

“Habinna” is a live, experimental set of audio material from a collection of YouTube recordings with short composed melodies about survival, love, and open arms towards the sky.

From our 2019 inaugural exhibition with 2019 resident @ayedarafah. Ayed later became part of our team. ❤️ #throwbackthursday

الغربلة، يا أبنائي، هي النقاء والاستقامة،
الغربال هو إطار للبيت، يحتضن المحاصيل،
المحصول يسعى ليوسع آفاقكم،
الغربلة تهز الصوت وتنطلق بالألحان،
كل فجوة في بطن الغربال تلد فرصة أفضل.


اليوم يا بني، ما تبقى قد أكله الإسمنت،
أكل الاهتزاز، والصوت والأفق،
وأكل الرؤية والأغاني،
الشمس لا يغطيها الغربال،
والذين لا يرون عبر الغربال هم عميان.

Sieving, my sons, is purity and righteousness, 
The sieve is a frame for the house, embracing the crops, 
The crop seeks to extend your horizon, 
Sieving shakes the sound and breaks out with melodies, 
Every gap in the belly of the sieve gives birth to a better chance.

Today my son, what remains has been eaten by the concrete, 
Eaten the shaking, the sound and the horizon,
And eaten the vision and the songs,
The sun doesn’t get covered by the sieve, 
and those who do not see through the sieve are blind.
